Via his twitter Dean is getting surgery tomorrow on his wrist and apparently is out 10 weeks. No Monster Cup for him. Bummer. I'd assume he is probably going to do East Coast SX now as well, because he will only have about a month to test before A1. Get well soon Dean

He doesn't do internet.

Call his ass up. He answers his phone.

He'll tell ya.
Granted I don't talk to Mitch, but does it make sense for him to have Dean possibly go into a series on 3 weeks of testing after 10 weeks off, just to hide from a guy he has proven he can beat?

I really enjoyed the Deano Barcia pogo battle last year, I hope they are on the same coast again

So bummed! I was hoping to see Dean-O out here in the west coast. I would have gone to every Aneheim race as well as Dodgers if he did Smile

Actually hasnt shown he can beat him consistenly in supercross. JB dominated that series. Outdoors its Deano no question.

He hasn't shown he can beat him in an SX championship, yet he's beaten him heads up in 3(?) I think main events this year. Barcia no doubt DOMINATED east lites, but IMO Wilson lost the championship because of his 2 poor races outside the top 5, rather than Barcia beating him (ie Barcia in 1st Wilson in 2nd) repeatedly. That's more of what my point was I guess.

if you are trying to convince anyone that Wilson compares to Barcia indoors, you're fucking high. No way, No how, especially if Mitch Payton knows this.

i dont like BArcia's off-track style, (i.e. get a fucking haircut and there's no surfing in Georgia, so ditch the Kelly Slater shit) HOWEVER, i will say that there is no one even half as agressive as Barcia in all of U.S. motocross right now. He's the guy I watch SX for because I absolutely love someone who isnt afraid to come in wayyyyy too hot, and leave even hotter.

PC dominated outdoors this year, but I have a feeling next year is going to be the Barcia & Bogle show outdoors with a little Tomac in the mix. No disrespect to Durham or anyone else on PC for that matter.. I just think Barcia and Bogle are a hellacious storm waiting to happen in the Lites.

I hardly watch 450s anymore. yawn. "i'd like to thank sweet baby jesus for my win tonight, without him i wouldnt be here, now let me recite my sponsors in alphabetical order starting with alpinestars, ending with traxxas just after thor because thats how i study them, and did i mention the good lord jesus my savior, is so great."

This is one of the hottest vids on Youtube right now, and only 980 views (600 are from me) WTF... :49 seconds = Barcia parking Wilson.

WIlson does compare to Barcia outdoors, if you can't accept that fact you are high. I am not downgrading Barcia in any way, but he won the SX championship by being super consistent, when Dean had some off races, Barcia didn't. Yet if you are trying to convince yourself Barcia was winning left and right over everyone last SX season you need to check the results. Dean and Barcia both won the same number of races. And people have been saying that exact same thing about Barcia and Tomac the past 2 years in the outdoors.

isn't that a hell of a video? why doesn't it have 60,000 views yet? maybe because it doesnt have "chingy" or "wiz khaliffa" in the sound track.

here, you hit the play button, and ill sit here and say "black and yellow black and yellow, black and yellow black and yellow....

cmess. wilson isn't a zit on barcia's ass indoors. period. barcia owns them. if the results arent good enough for you, look what happens everytime they both go into the same corner. click that video.

be an analytical supercross fan. watch more than the podium interviews and result board. watch them ride. watch their lines. watch the passes. maybe ive just been watching this religiously since the ward/stanton era and i see things people dont, but when i see barcia and wilson go at it, i see barcia being a bloodthirtsy rabid dog, and wilson just going through the motions.

and when i watch them i see a guy who has a genuine national championship won over 24 grueling hard motos and a guy who has won a 5 round regional supercross title.

Both are incredible riders however.

i was never speaking of outdoors. purely SX, and for some reason you think bringing MX into the argument makes your point valid.

i used the word "indoors" and maybe that threw you off.

oh ofcourse, and what happened during those 3 main events that Wilson won?? Were they mysteriously moved outdoors to Pala??

Wilson has genuine skills inside and out and on any given day could beat Barcia. Same goes for Barcia being able to beat Wilson, deal with it.

Gotta say, buggered wrist and all, Deano was a bit of an anti climax for us Brits at Des Nations. Esp after his ride at Pala. Seems like an awesome kid, but if his wrist was that bad, should have said and we could have sent Anstie.

Just so I am getting the entire idea of what you are saying through this thread, anyone who thinks that Wilson is competitive with Barcia in supercross (a championship where they both had equal wins and battled back and forth) is high, yet you also make the statement that next year Barcia is going to take it to Deano outdoors as well, (a championship where Dean killllllllllllllllllllled Barcia, Barcia didn't win a moto, barely finished any races off the ground, and where Honda pulled him up to a different class prematurely because he was completely out of contention, with no signs of turning back.)

You don't find those two statements of yours a bit contradicting?

By the way, I agree with you about Bogle, kid is going to kill it next year.

Where his team pulled him up?

I think you mean "Where Honda pulled him up."

I think the GEICO Honda team would have been happier if he'd been able to stay on their bikes during a couple of the tracks where Justin's really strong (Unadilla and Southwick).

Fixed. Wouldn't Geico still have to agree to let him move up though? I mean obviously they are not going to say no to the mothership, but wouldn't they have some say in it?
