... you had to be pumped for Chad Reed winning the first moto. After his Millville crash and the fallout that came after it, it was awesome when I read the race report and beside the #1 slot in moto one was Chad Reed's name.

In many ways Australian's are just like Americans, except we don't have funny accents.

That is an awesome video for sure. I can only imagine what he felt when he crossed that finish line in first place.

I would have been cheering for USA (in French) and offering any assistance I could to Team Kuwait.

So true jamma, did you see the vid where he talks about getting his Sharky tribute tat?

Under The Gun - Chad Reed

Class act.

yeh great ride by reed in the first race! Finally looked back to his old self. Was really happy for paulin in the 2nd moto aswel- i think reed was right about that too- paulin tired himself out in the 2nd moto! (with not much time to rest inbetween motos)

Reed was flying in the first race, RV was flying in the last race, but rider of the day for me was roczen!! he rode great on the 250f both motos!!

That video is great.

What I thought was funny was when the fan grabbed RV's brace and wouldn't let go for a second...(it was on the live broadcast also). Grinning Grinning Grinning Grinning

That's cool.

I assume that area was mainly European fans....It was neat on the broadcast to see all those guys cheering on the RV & RD after their 1-2 finish.

The vast majority of fans everywhere were Europeans, mainly French of course. I only saw a few Americans, Aussies or South Africans to be honest, which totally understandable.

Irrespective of the fact many people on here like to think of Europeans as US haters, all the teams on the podium including America received a very warm and congratulatory reception on the podium. Im happy to say that I was one of them and for as long as Im a motocross fan I always will be first in line to show my appreciation. American riders are fantastic.

Fast Eddy,
This percieved pissing match between US fans & rest of world only exists here on T'internet, where posters can usually hide behind their screen names & make outrageous claims etc.
At the track I can assure you there were many non US fans cheering on Team USA and marveling at their one chance a year to see these stars in person!
It's sad but some of the most vitriol posters, probably weren't even trackside!
Well done Team USA and all the competitors, organisers, crew who make this event so special!

Have ypu ever heard of Mick Kirkness- flat track racer from Australia. We rode some MX with him last night. He stays in Central Illinois this time of year. Super cool guy and hilarious.

Yeah...
And I think a majority of the pissing that does go on here is more directly targeted at trying to get a rise out of other posters then it is at truly disrespecting the USA riders or even GP riders for the most part.

Honestly....
Out of all the thousands of fans that attend that event every year.....
I think I can say I have only ever heard of 2 incidents that could be deemed as somewhat disrespect to the American riders at the event (over the past 10 years or so). One was at Matterley when some drunk crazy guy ran through USA's Pits after the race screaming something like "Europe #1" ,after Stefan had won (maybe he was just excited about 72 winning and had a bit to much to drink).
The other was the infamous plastic water bottle tossed at Stewart I think on the opening lap of MX1-MX2 at Donnington (which was blamed on a Canadian lol). That is like 2 fans out of prolly a half million fans over the past 10 years or so that have attended the event.
I would say that is a pretty good record.
