with the success of "throwback" uniforms in the NFL, the AMA decided to up the ante and do a "throwback" race for A1, pitting the riders against each other on equally prepped 1971 Bultaco 250s. Personally, I can't wait to watch Bubba blitz the whoops on it.

Dammit!!! Now Kdub has to go practice blitzing Bultaco's after all this time practicing blitzing Yamaha's!

"We are contractually obliged to wait until October 1 before we can announce our new signing in America," explained KTM sport director Pit Beirer at the Nations. But any lingering doubts that Ryan Dungey will be the new man in orange next year were ended when Suzuki admitted that "2010 AMA Pro Motocross Champion Ryan Dungey, will be leaving the team at the conclusion of the 2011 motocross season." And Dungey will have a new model to race too.

On Monday morning at St Jean d'Angely a few bikes were out doing laps of the circuit, so I wandered over to have a look after taking the tent down. All four bikes were KTM's and I could see a group of people all wearing KTM team gear watching down near the pit area/start gate which got me wondering if it was the official Dungey to KTM press launch which I'd read was supposed to be happening during the weekend.

Low and behold... this guy turned up in full fox gear, sporting the number 1 and it honestly had me going for a while...

Never found out, they all seemed like fairly decent riders and all were riding brand new KTMs with Factory trim.

Whoever it was looks a bit dumpy in the picture but he was actually quite tall - though I decided his physique and general riding style wasn't quite the same as Dungeys.

your wrong moran. my friend ButterBalls told me that Ciancarucillio is still riding 125's because he can't get support for the four stroke kits vintage. unless he improves his high number, he'll probably never get the fore strokes bike. i trust him, he's a mechanic that has been to teh 1998 MXdN twice and can prove it with his avatar pics.
