Hiring RD makes no sense at all. Think about it.....you would hire someone as your team mate that you know is a title threat....just like you? I don't think we will see Reed , Stewart , Dungey , RV or Canard on any of the same teams. I doubt we'll even see any of them on the same colored bikes......unless it's a private deal like Reeds team.

I love the silly season!

Honestly what make the most sence from all the rumor that has been going around so far would be Reed to Suzuki with team Two Two, as one of two top flight suzuki 450 teams with Suzuki backing , no official Factory team, which would leave Goose and Metty out of a job.

Suzuki funds the second rider and mechanic on team Two Two , the rider being Metty as he is already signed with Suzuki for 2012 and it is the best way for Suzuki to keep the knowledge and expertice of Goose around.

Just my guess on the whole thing, though so many things that could still play out, as always im sure a lot more will be clear either after this weekend at Pala or more so after the MX of Nations next weekend.

Duh....You know silly season around here runs from April 2nd to March 31st only taking one day off on April 1st.....which is pretty much like the other 364 but we expect it.

I haven't seen any clues about an Albino masochist yet.

so i dont get it.... reed buys a honda on his own dime and says its the mostest bestest stock bike out there. Then he comes out of no where and builds his team around a stock honda, and finally after busting his ass the Factory starts giving him support. Now I know it is a rumor and it doesnt really say he is going to Suzuki.... but, shouldnt he start to show a bit of loyalty to the people that helped him succeed this year? I think it would be pretty stupid to not stick with honda for better or worse and start to build some long term relationships for the good of his teams longevity.

If honda is throwing their support to Brooks/MC I doubt they can also have their factory team which they have with Trey and JG and also support TwoTwo... It'll be factory and one other... Wait and see...

I'm guessing Two Two Rockstar Suzuki with Metty/Goose and Reedy/Lars...

I see your point Crush... and I have to admit that will be a hell of a team to beat. Metty is really coming into his own and with Goose that might take him to the next level and see some true 1-1 wins next season!

Your presuming Honda want to stick with Reed or are offering the same deal as this year. Remember, at the start of the year he had minimal factory support, weren't many 'loyal' manufactures knocking on his door. Maybe it would have stayed that way too if Grant hadn't had such a bad season.

Loyalty? The same people who moved Barcia up to the 450's late in the season, and cost Reed even more championship points? That move spoke volumes to me, as to the relationship between Honda and Reed. Sure, Reed's backpedal had already started after Millville, but damn, you've helped the guy get this far, why handicap a bad situation even further by adding Barcia to the equation?

Here's why: It shows that Honda's in-house program takes precedent over any teams getting back-door support. I guess you could say that it's nothing personal, just good business. Honda is just looking out for their future. That being said, Reed kept Honda on the radar and at the top of the standings all throughout the SX and National series, if anybody has shown a lack of loyalty, it's Team Honda.

Does any one read anything outside this forum(RacerX, MXA, Transworld, Pulpmx, etc...) ? I'm guessing no, because if you did you would know the answers to 90% of your questions about silly season.

No wonder this forum has a bad rep with the MX industry, people post the stupidest shit without taking the time to do a little research before posting and it's just non sense.

My favorite post so far is "Will Dungey ride KTM at MXdN?" Seriously?? How is this seriously a question? If you think about it for two seconds you would know that it doesn't logically make sense.
