If anyone wonders what we have lost with the 125 cc class being gone, this video is it and then some.

A thankyou to RR for this masterpiece.

DC said earlier that there was no interest in a 125 class. But then again that was probably in reference to the Japanese OEM's who are asleep right now. Meanwhile, back in Japan.....

Great moto!!!! I love watching my bro race!!! Wink . That is how I remember him always riding when we were kids! Pushing to the end to win! I could watch these all day and probably get a tad emotional! ;-). I wish you all could have seen how great he was in person and as an amateur! He was unbelieveable and so fluid on a bike! Thanks for sharing big time!!

There were many days that RR was untouchable. I think that dude has ridden through more pain and injuries than anyone.

The 125s are good, no doubt, but I think we would all agree that these 125 races don't hold a candle to the WMX!

If DC really cared about the longevity of MX, he would tell the OEM's to pack sand.

I think DC does care about MX. I'm not trying to kick him in the shins, I'm trying to promote something I believe would be good for the sport: a 125 support class.

I watched the first 450 moto Saturday and thought it was a great race...but, I think this race was more fun to watch.

Robbie is still racing...but more on a fun level...He is a track owner in Wellston, Oklahoma, where you can find him most everyday out riding or working with kids to make them better riders. He is enjoying life and still working hard!! One of his kids he is working with just hit the pro scene and is doing very well, Justin Bogle. If you are ever in Oklahoma you should check out www.reynardraceway.com

I have always been a Robbie fan, he is guts! I remember the 125 days when he and Ferry were going at it, those two are animals, lol!! The sad thing about the sport and the young people that just arrived on the scene is, they don't know who the fast guys used to be and will say crap. Respect kids, respect you never know who you are talking to or about!

Didn't mean to quote.

Having watched every EMX 125 race in Europe this year I can assure people that it's not boring racing. Oh, and the top 125 prospects are still doing all the sections the thumpers are doing more than not. Let the best talent in the country ride a 125 before they turn pro, get their names out there to teams and sponsors and maybe profit from it (not with $ but experience). We will always have our Roczen's, Stewarts, Barcia's and the like that don't need that stepping stone, but a lot do need it. It's the perfect opportunity to also expose younger kids to the media and public relations on the big stage before they sign a factory deal. Nothing like seeing a 15 year old with braces handle a starting line interview better than most pro's here.

Not sure if you misunderstood, but I'd rather watch back-of-the-pack pros on 125's then top 5 riders on Big Fat Pig 450's

The simple fact is the Japs don't want any 2-strokes being raced in the US in the AMA Pro Racing, so it won't happen in the AMA. DC's hands are tied. If he makes them mad, they pull out of the series (or threaten to) and US MX and SX goes down the tubes (theoretically).

If it's going to happen, it will be outside of the AMA.

the 98-99 outdoor series were farken brilliant

it was my first chance to see the races cause we couldn't get them or I couldn't... did australia have pay tv before then? anyway I didn't have access to it till then. My mate parents had pay and he would tape it for me on tuesdays at 2pm haha and i'd knock off work at about 5 and go straight to his house and watch them.. I wonder if his parents ever got the shits cause i'd then take the tape home anyway haha i've still got them, well the 99 season anyway

including washougal that was epic for Buttons first OA in the 250's and THAT race with McCormack out front just flat fuckin hauling like going faster than I think anyone could go on that track on a 125 with Carmicheal comin from nearly last and getting to a close second and still got the shits... like fully

I love how the called Ricky "the fastest man on the planet"... Kind of ironic. Great race and I would love to see a 125 class again.
