Is there anyone out there who still believes JS7 could go 24-0 or even leave those guys.

And by JS7, I mean James Stewart from 2008.

RC4 has a better chance of 24-0 again over JS7

Very hard to believe! I wouldn't even give him half of the race wins theway he's been riding. I wish I was totally wrong as I will love to see him do it again. That will stir the pot around here. lol

Not a chance. I think it would be a 3 or 4 way battle with Stewart taking wins, but not by a lot.

kind of silly question..the JS7 from 2008.... not unless Red Bull designs a time machine and brings that Bubba back.

NO. I think even the James of old could have ran that pace....but with as determined as RD and RV are right now....they would of pressured him into mistakes. I guess we'll never know since James missed a huge window in his career to prove people wrong. But when you don't even show up in the first place.....it makes you the automatic loser. I'm not calling James a loser here folks.....I'm saying if you don't show up to the gate....there is no way to back your shit talk.

I'm a BIG JS7 fan, but he kind of had an easy year when he went 24-0, similar to Dungey's streak last year. Loads of talent, but different level. Do I think he could be with Dungey and RV2 like 1st moto today.............Absolutely, but I don't think every moto. The dude has got more skills than 99% of the people on the track, but his endevours the past couple of years have hurt him. (He's probably made just as much money acting than racing though)
I expected more from Barcia today and he got bitch slapped by Metcalfe.

I don't think so, though that fantasy season sure would be fun to watch! When you get more guys running that pace the odds of 24-0 are out the door. I don't even think a 2007 RC could do 24-0 agains the two Ryan's, especially if you through Stewart into the mix. When RC and Stewart would battle, they would go as fast as you could possibly go on a motorcross track. What both Ryan's did today was exactly the same.

I don't know about undefeated with bike issues or a few crashes but if he really wanted to ride and really wanted to win no one could keep up with him.

He is a way better outdoors rider then indoors. The thing is, I dont think he has that motivation any more. IMO

And until RD or RV or anyone else goes 24-0 James is one of only TWO to ever do it. So you cant really compare the three riders.

no, but I think he could have won the championship...I personally think by not even showing up at Hangtown to find out he didnt help himself out. If i were in James Stewart's shoes I would have raced the first 3 rounds and saw how everything went, because you never know what will happen to your competition or what the racing with entail. James Stewart could have won tthis championship, even James Stewart of 2011, doesnt need to be the James Stewart of 2008.

P.S. I hate James Stewart...well not as much as RV.

In what parallel universe would Stewart have won the championship in? In my universe Stewart crashed out of as many SX races as he won and bike set up is even more critical outdoors.

Bottom line is rub a lamp if you think Stewart could have won this year's title or for that matter will EVER win another outdoor title.

James proved he could buy a race team....but he's yet to prove he is capable of focusing to the point of being a consistent winner again. I hope he returns to form as he is a great rider and adds a lot to the races but I think his day in the sun is over.

It's only a 2 rider class so yes it could happen.

Top 2 riders were 8 seconds A LAP faster than 3rd place. Pathetic.

24-0? IMO, I believe Bubba has the talent to win the title against these boys, but not a clean sweep. But just like, how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know.

I a huge JS fan but with the way the 2 Ryan's are riding and seeing Trey and Barcia ride a 450 . There is no way in hell he could go 24-0

At best i say he could win maybe 6 to 8 overalls

What fucking races have you been watching?....the 2008 series? The one where he didn't have any competition? The guys he was beating by 30sec - 1 full minute? The same guys that RD and RV have been beating by damn near 2 minutes on days like today? JS could run up towards the front......but he is sitting at home because in a "Series"....he would get his ass handed to him extremely bad!

His specialty is out doors? When did this happen? He had one perfect season against guy who have never been in a title hunt. Sure , Alessi and Short are strong riders......but compared to RV and RD ( or even Reed right now?)

Jesus Christ,.........please send me some of that good dope you are smoking.

Now days?......of course i am.....who in their right mind wouldn't? He hasn't done shit out doors in 4 years! SX is his specialty.....and he would of taken 5th in points if canard wouldn't of gotten hurt. ALSO......he raced ever single round! It wasn't one of his famous "50/50 will he even make it to Vegas series " he is so famous for.

face it.....if James gets on a comfortable bike for SX , he's a threat to win races and "possibly" a title.....but it aint lookin' good. he folds like a lawn chair under pressure. Out doors......that is a friggin' joke right? He would get waxed for a championship. he may win a couple motos ( maybe? )......but a title? HAHA!!.....that is the funniest shit I have heard all night.

Stewart has a shit load of talent.....nobody can deny that. Indoors is his best chance at some wins. Look what RC did to that poor guy in the out doors. NOW....he has two guys like RC out there ( RV and RD )....with a few other mixed in like Reed ( who is riding faster than ever out doors ).......he wouldn't stand a chance. Anyone who thinks different is crazy as far as i'm concerned. On top of that.....he's been out for 4 years. Are you kidding me?

I agree with some of your post, since we haven't seen him outdoors for so long. But when you look at his record outdoors, the only rider that was truly faster than him was RC. I honestly believe if James Stewart were to commit to riding outdoors in 2012, and had his bike dialed in, he would be trading wins with the Ryans and the pre-Millville flight Chad Reed. Do I think he would win the title? Probably not, I would put RV and RD finishing in front of him, but he would still have a chance.

Jammin'....you are right. I'm on the same page as you are. I think Stewart has the speed to run with anyone on the planet , especially indoors. Outdoors would be tough for him , since that is a different kind of speed than what the guys are used to in the out door series. I think "IF" he was wanting to do a full out door series , he would win some motos , maybe a couple overalls , but not a title. We are missing some guys like TC and CP out there right now as well. And with the way barcia is riding ( or can ride ).......the out door is going to be pretty crazy next year if they all show up.

Last winter , Stewart showed he could win on any given night , but there were even more nights when that "riding past your limit" speed came up and bit him. Everyone knows , for a championship....you have to be at every round , and finish as best as you can. Stewarts worst enemy is himself , as the guy just doesn't know when to back it down. Another thing I see ( in my own opinion ) is , he hasn't mellowed with age....he seems to of gotten worse with it.

Speed to win races....yes!
Consistency to win a championship....NO!

FWIW.....If we see him at A1 on a dialed Suzuki.....who knows what he can be capable of? If it's a good season indoors......maybe we can see if he'll want to do the outdoors? I guess we'll wait and see.
