Wow, that is incredible work. I'll bet a 134cc kit would work well on the CR. It may not be as big as a 144 but still retain the rev and characteristics of the 125 engine. There is some airbox and intake alignment that helps these. Miedosoracing.com has done wonders with Aluminum framed CR125s.
I bored my cr125 out to a 134, i came of a 2011 KTM150 and honestly it doesnt feel that much slower.

Although it does seem to eat pistons.

I have an 03 with 134 kit, porting and head work by Derek at HPBikes.com in Texas. he does a lot of epoxy work, mods the powervalve stop pin, shaves the head and works the squish band. Sent me an RM piston to use (or was it a YZ piston?) best mods are change to the 07 airbox rubber boot (I think 06 is the same as 07), add holes in the airbox, V-force or Rad, and best of all an air striker carb. it freakin kills my sons 05 YZ 125 (which used to be mine) but of course the YZ is bone stock.

I'm not a two stroke guy AT ALL but I am a fan a bitchin looking and strong running bikes. Just felt the need to clarify because I have a tendency to poke fun at two stroke guys. I'm fat and slow so I need a 450. LOL

It's at Tulare. Track has been good lately. I was trying to twist that throttle but it seemed like it would not twist fat enough!! I'm a 2 stroke guy lately but like both.

Pretty sweet bike! I did a restore/rebuild a few years ago. It was a lot of fun, but now after 3 years, the bike is starting to get roached out again. I'll have to start over again next winter...

I wonder if the late model YZ125cc motor could be fit into the CR frame. I had both a 2001 CR 125 and a 2004 YZ 125, huge power difference motor wise! I would love to see a CR/YZ hybrid.........

A lot of elbow grease and scotchbrite pads. Or you could give DEF a call. I won't discuss pricing, but he is ridiculously reasonable for the quality and attention to detail.

The motor is amazing for a 125...obviously CR125's aren't known to have much on the bottom, but we added one tooth to the rear sprocket. The extra tooth helps speed the transition to the mid, which pulls extremely hard. The Renegade SX2 fuel also made a huge difference over pump fuel...it really helps the motor explode in the mid-range, and pulls well into the upper revs.

Even though this bike is dialed, If you're coming off a 250F, you basically have to learn how to ride all over again. The partial throttle openings that you get used to on a 4-stroke do not work. You have to carry a lot more momentum around the entire track. I would definitely not be as competive in a race against 4-stroke 250Fs, but that's ok...I'm beyond that stage in my life, and the fun factor is second to none. The bike is definitely the most crisp, dialed bike I've ever ridden in my life.

No not same guy but would like to see that one. I should have gotten a YZ though this thing is pretty slow, but handles like a champ!

You MUST go up one, or even two teeth on the rear!! Moto814 built me a 134cc CR that I was initially very disappointed in (also had Vforce and PC pipe), but with the gearing change, it's now my favorite 125 over my 06 YZ125. It makes a tad more HP than the stock YZ, and does so with a bit more narrow power band, but gottdamm....I'll take the Honda handling anyday over the YZ. Oh...one other change was putting Showa forks on it instead of the stock KYB"s.

Anyone that shows for the Phoenix SX ride day can take it for a spin....it's one fun bike.

And finally, your bike looks awesome...very nice!!
