I searched for a thread on this and couldn't find it. I figure everyone has different taste in riding resorts or in tracks. What makes a place great to you?

I liked Starwest in California, Milestone (I think), California is great for riding for fun, so many tracks to choose from.

Just down the road from the Cycle Ranch is Zars Ranch club grounds of The Dirt Bike Club of San Antonio. Not a big place, but good dirt and hundreds of little nooks and cranies. Kind of dry right now.

This, plus I really like the layout and the facilities (mini shop, bike washing stalls, covered seating).

Horseshoe Bend Motorsports in Owenton, Kentucky. The dirt is pretty good for the Midwest and it ruts up really nice. I was there last weekend and Ryan Sipes was out there practicing along with Tyler Bowers.

I also like a place called Nickota Motorsports. The dirt is decent there as well along with some fun jump sections.

Live oak mx park in daisy ga because its the closest track to me and it is pretty fun. Hopefully this track being built five minutest from me at the big nasty atv park will be good but i doubt it cause the place is run by a bunch of mod bogging rednecks.

AMPmx in Alabama former pro Matt Shue designed the track and it's super fast and flows really good and he changes it up often. But you guys have a sick setup down at durhamtown also I've never heard of anyone that didnt have fun there

Sunset ridge MX in walnut IL. A lot like red bud, sandy soil that roughs up nicely, nice flowing layout, and huge but safe tabletops.

My favorite place is to ride right now is Tulare MX Cycle Park in Tulare, CA. The reason is because the owner/operator does an awesome job with making a fun track. The dirt is excellent but what makes is so good is not so much the dirt but the way it is prepped by Rick. He rips it up into bitchin loam where it should be. It develops nice ruts in the corners but doesn't get too rutty. The jump faces stay perfect. He makes the track layout fun, challenging, yet safe for riders of all skill levels. Also, he changes up the track pretty much weekly so it is always changing and evolving, keeping us regulars sharp on different types of obstacles.

There is also always a sufficient number of flaggers and they do a good job of breaking up the open practices by skill to keep everyone safe. The only way it could be better was if there was more shade (which there will be since new trees were recently planted....just gonna take time for the trees to mature) and maybe some huge mountains. HAHA! Since Rick can't move mountains to the location of the track, there is nothing that can be done about the relative lack of elevation changes. However, Rick does a great job of making mild elevation changes out there. No mountains but what the heck, it's in the middle of a flat valley.

My only other request would be a public bike wash stall area like they have at Glen Helen. That would be nice if it had a little concrete area with access to a couple of short water hoses where we could rinse off the bikes and our boots before heading home.

If you live anywhere near TCP, I highly recommend you check out that track. There are other nice tracks around here too but I don't like any of them as much as I like TCP.

Area 51
Buffalo, New York

Its directly next to the New Yorks State Thruway @ Batavia exit. Great track and always perfect preperation. Its got some elevation, uphill step ups and step downs, rythyms, and tons more cool sections.Plus they always switch it up and make changes. I've Raced and ridden Cali, Florida,TX,OK and all Northeasts tracks and this is definetly considered a Top Notch Facility all around. National worthy in my opinion considering location and track

I would put sunset ridge in first, and all of your tracks last. Know why? I like to ride on DIRT not concrete.

In case you haven't noticed durhamtown has undergone some major changes they have a new national track built by Mark Barnett and I've never seen it dry or hardpacked

glad to hear it, because it used to be really bad there. I used to like the Aonia Pass track not too far from there, not sure how it is these days.

I like big layout tracks. comp edge, glen helen, racetown, Pala when they run the national track. I like big floating jumps and ruts to be specific. Actually just variety something to keep it from getting boring. maybe a mix of technicality and speed.

X3 on tulare having the greatest prep and fun layout. Two nights a week year round doesn't hurt either. That said my vote would still be RedBud-Zaca-Baja

I haven't ridden every track in the world but wish I could. At least the good ones. When I lived in San Diego my favorite place was Competition Park because they had good dirt and like five tracks. But I also loved Glen Helen.

I rode a full-blown sand track in Fernley, NV a few months ago and LOVED it. I would ride the track all the time too if it were close to home. Therefore, I suspect that I would enjoy Southwick and other places like that. I always wanted to ride Red Bud, Unadilla, and Budd's Creek.....and well, ALL the national tracks. Colorado looks AWESOME!!!! Mammoth Mtn MX looks awesome too!!! There are LOTS of good tracks out there.

Lets see a couple of weeks ago, and the time before that was a week before that, and then a week before that.
