It looks like Facciotti, the newly crowned champ (it's his 3rd MX1 title) , will be trying his hand at a couple of nationals. I'm interested in seeing how he might do. I figure a top 15 might be possible. Anyway, best of luck Colton Facciotti! And Tyler Medaglia, newly crowned MX2 champ will also be there.

What kind of bike is he on? The full race Blackfoot bike or just some junk practice bike? Makes a huge difference when the speeds from 7th-15th are so close.

I don't know, but judging from the way Blackfoot was in the past, he probably won't be on the same Yamaha he won the title on. I hope I'm wrong.

Lol..it's kinda true. I guess if your a cdn mx fan grasping at wins in axle deep mud like that are all we have!

My southwick predictions...good luck nice to see cdn mx guys racing on their race bikes in the us, should be interesting.

I talked with Tyler a couple months ago T. Medaglia Interview and he said the whole Blackfoot Rig and team would be making the trip down.

Colton will do well, have one outstanding moto, lets say 9-5 for 7th.

Dont totally understand why they want to race there, maybe as training for next years nationals?? Certainly not as a showcase to get an AMA ride. Its pretty obvious the Canadian gravy train is way too good to pass up for a "B" or "C" deal in the USA.

To test themselves and their speed racing against some of the best in the world on two sweet tracks. If they need motivation to get up for that they are in the wrong sport!

I'm a fan of colton and don't get me wrong. I have been to the badlands many of years and cheer him on and all the other canooks, but i beleive he will be lucky to break the top 25. Even if he gets a top 5 start he will fade fast after 20 minutes.

I hope i'm wrong and CF and his family enjoy and top 5. Ya know Pops will be there for sure. Think Pops has a pretty well funded bank roll if i remember right.............

Definitely better than top 25. I think everyone going to have trouble beating Irene!

Everything that you wrote is a bit off. There is no Canadian track called the badlands, he probably won't fade fast since he's in the best shape in Canadian moto and known for wearing his opponents down and his family doesn't have a ton of money and they don't come to a lot of the races.

I think you have him mistaken with someone else, maybe Brady Sheren?

In past years they've only given the guys their practice bikes to use and no other support. If they have their race bikes and the team semi there for support you should see some decent results.

If I had to guess I'd say Colt will fall somewhere near back of the top ten and Tyler will be lucky to crack the top 15.

I don't know how fast Colt can actually go. He doesn't seem to get pushed too hard up here and doesn't actively seek out a proper challenge for his skills. I don't know if he has the mindset to step his game up to where it can be. He has the skills, but his career path seems a little conservative when it comes to seeking out real competition that can push him to be better.

That said, he was faster than I was when he was still on 80's. So take that for what it's worth.
