If true this is a wise decision from the team. He's just a rookie.

Roczen rode in Holland and then an AMA supercross just five days apart, so he could do both.
I know, because all those MX Des Nations titles they have won outside the US shows that...........................I could say all you arrogant Brits are the same, but that wouldn't be fair to the majority of people from the UK that aren't like you.

Bud is a french online motocross shop. David Vuillemin and Gautier Paulin rode for it. The last one won GP's on that 250cc bike and now is Dylan Ferrandis winning European Championship races on the 250cc bike of Bud Kawasaki. So the bike is good.

I like the guy bye the way. He looks like a really hard worker. And I believe that hard work always beat talent on a certain point! Look at Dungey (a worker) and Stewart (pure talent) ...

PS: Don't wanna discus that last thing I said!

Speaking of ignorance.. .comparing what Weeck has to go through to get to the races vs. what Roczen does.

He had a bad wreck out playriding in 09 that caused him to be out for a year i believe on ricky dietrichs bike. then just got back on the bike to race at wshougal last year (2010) was 8th one moto and finished 13th. crashed second moto fell outside top 30 and finished 15th. went to pala and finished 8th one moto, not sure about the other. limited money kept him racing some sx this year.qualified 4th in the lites at seattle!!!!! honestly i think geico or someone needs to give him the same chance they given guys like decotis ,and others because hes proven hes the fastest REAL privateer. not what some call a privateer guy on say like a eleven 10 mods team or something. look at the results of some of these other guys and youlll see

BUD Racing is a bit like our french Pro Circuit. They do triple clamps, exhausts, shocks and forks settings, sell their own shock elements, ignition covers etc...

Weeck will finally race the European MX2 category in Gaildorf (Germany), not the MX2 World Championship...

The decision was taken by Youthstream.
Actually, Youthstream would not guarantee a spot on the MX2 list until a few days before the GP so the team rather opted to enter him in the European Championship EMX2, which is apparently opened to any rider, even if non-European (Gaildorf is a combined GP / EMX2 event).

So it's not like Youthstream refused him or something for the MX2 but the system still makes it difficult for those who are not with a team having purchased a firm entry for the full season (Bud Racing-Kawasaki-Rockstar Energy has two entries in the MX1 class, Davide Guarnieri and Greg Aranda, but none in MX2).

The EMX2 class works differently, anybody can show up (if he pays the heavy entry fee) and go thru the qualifiers, so that's what Justin will have to do (by the way, it is Rockstar which recommended Week to Stephane Dassé, Bud's boss).

Bud Racing also enters Dylan Ferrandis who, despite a mid-season injury, is still a contender for the title (Gaildorf is the last race of the series).

Bud Racing would like to enter both Dylan and Justin for the last GP but no news on that.

Bottom line, if he shows Washougal-like speed at Gaildorf, Justin Week has a serious chance to contend for the win in EMX2.

He is expected in beautiful Hossegor (home of Bud Racing), in South of France, this friday for a week of testing with the team and his coach, Jacky Vimond.

How am I arrogant? I don't think I am better than anyone else, and I don't think my national championship is better than the world championship. I also think the AMA series is just as good as the World series.

JB19... racing the MXDN is nothing like racing GPs so that arguement doesn't count. I am referring to US riders coming over to race the world championship and living and racing outside their own country.

Very few have managed to do it in recent years without struggling or feeling homesick... Zach Osborne is the exception to this, but it is a risk for a World Championship team to bring a US guys over, because history has shown they struggle to adapt to GPs, due to unrealistic expectations or overcoming homesickness, especially if they are not based in the UK.

Hence it is a good idea for Tommy to come over now on a short term basis as a trial for himself and the team, to see how they adapt to each other and get a gauge if they can succeed in 2012. He is fast and if he adapts, he will be a good addition to the GPs, and it may lead to more offers from GP teams too.

Yep, and people say alot about Hughes, but I think he would be a really good coach to have in your corner imo, he knows his stuff.

Gaildorf will be a bit different to Pala, but he should win EMX2 I think! Although teammate Ferrandis is quick too!
