The newest thread about an electric MX bike got me wondering. When will we see an electric exhibition at a National? Or are the Big 4/5 too against it to let it happen?

We'll see it when people buy them and can get around an entire track with one.

There's not enough electricity to go around as it is. Now everyone needs an electric car and motorcycle? Crack me up...

If electric MX will looks anything like the electric road race at the Laguna Seca MotoGP they'll need a lot of Kleenex to wipe away the tears of laughter.

Was it that bad? I have not seen one in person. It just looks like they are making some real progress and I think it would be interesting to see what they can do on a real track.

I think it would be cool as hell to ride a electrobike if it handled the same.

It was horrible. I could have run away from them on my 1982 Kawasaki AR 80.

I can't wait until electric bikes are more reasonable to have, I can think of so many places that would be ridable on a bike that was silent!

Currently, I would say the best of the electric dirt bikes are about 45% performance, at best, to a modern bike.

They still have a ways to go. Acceleration is good, really good actually, but battery life and torque and misc. other things are not there as of yet.

A more direct comparison would be towards a modified TTr 125 playbike or something.
