Well me and my dad recently started restoring vintage bikes. My dad grew up racing all through the 80s and always wanted a restored 83 cr480 so he went out a bought one just for his collection and we both got the fever. I restored the 1985 cr125 to a Ron Leichen replica we bought the bike of craigslist for 250 dollars and started from the ground up. He recently started on the mugen project, I am a mechanic for a pro race team and have been busy traveling doing the outdoors so he has been doing the mugen all on his own and it came out awesome We were lucky enough to find a dealership that still had a brand new engine in the crate from honda so the motor is brand new with the mugen cylinder and clutch upgrades. Heres the pictures

The motor itself is brand new from honda but when we purchased the mugen cylinder it was dinged up so we had it repainted I will call the guy who painted it and get the paint code for you later today

We lived in Japan in from 1975-78. My older brothers raced for Honda. Jason, middle brother, had a Mugen ME 125 and my older brother Jim had a Mugen kit. Jasons ME was a high reving beast. The factory Mugens had purple engines and they screamed. Hediaki Suzuki(spelling??) was the Mugen Factory rider. You did a fantastic job on the rebuilds!

Is the #14 bike the actual bike that John Roeder claimed? Outstanding collection!

The real Marty Tripes 1980 RC 250 claimed by John Reoder recides in a collection in Chicago...
