Does anyone think there would be any plausible way to all pitch in/ donate to get Jimmy Albertson to Washougal. Its total bullshit that a top 10 guy sits out a race due to money. I have no idea what it would cost to get him out here but Im sure if a 50 or so of us each kicked in some cash he could make it happen. Im in for $50-$100 if it would help. I live 25 minutes from the track and could help him with a rig to get around if needed. We should try to make this happen.

Does he need money to get here or does he need a bike for the weekend. We might have a very fast
YZ450 for him to ride if he's willing. If its just cash, I will go $50.

Im definately NOT an insider but from what I gather, it just doesnt make financial sense to drive out west for just the 1 round and then all the way back east. I think it would be cool to back him to allow him to come out but it will take someone from the inside to make the connection. I just think that if enough people showed interest to make it happen then the proper people will get involved.

Guy, just got off the phone with Chad Lanza and they are taking care of Top Jimmy for Washougal, talked to Albee also and he's pumped. Glad to see top Jimmy going to the northwest and looking for a top 10.

While most of the time this place can be pretty rough, I love this kind of threads - there are some real moto fans around here. Chad Lanza.. is it Valli Yamaha?

Washougal is not a sure thing. Jimmy is going out to california to test a bike tomorrow. If all goes well then he will race that bike at Washougal and go from there. Jimmy is extremely happy and comfortable on his Merge Racing equipment and the fact that they were able to build a bike to compete at the factory level with the shoe string budget jimmy has to work with is saying so much. Imagine the possibilities of a Merge Racing team with a good budget....But Jimmy has been going out of pocket around 2 g's a race and the sad fact is that he has run dry getting himself to the races. At this point we have to do what needs to be done to get jimmy to the races.

I hate to see Jimmy switch bikes just because he doesn't have traveling money, it's a rough sport on the track and it seems even rougher off the track.

All the best to him what ever way he chooses.
