When I think back on the amount of fun I had as a kid on a $300 MOTORCYCLE !!!!
It makes me glad I was born back then.

When I got into the vintage scene back around 1991 I would buy those from Honda for $19.00 each and put them on all of my race bikes and restorations. Probably bought a dozen or more. And the came with the rubber strap too. There were still eight NOS alloy CR250M tanks at Honda warehouses but they wereTOO expensive at $350.00 each. I just couldn't see spending that much for a fuel tank! Now they steadily bring 2-3 grand when one shows up on ebay.

I don't know, I think I'm still more awestruck by the totally beat Carrera 98's that went for $400+, but there's no doubt that the early Elsinore NOS stuff is about as expensive as anything out there in vintage land other than Mugen or true factory.

Just had this conversation the other day with Joe and Kenny on when to use the stuff that one has when it can bring big prices in the market.

Wow and it sold! I'm going to start poking around some of the older Honda shops around here.
