Fer sure......Stroupe always gave it hell when he had his hand on the throttle and didn't give no quarter which Is why I always pulled for him.

Pala.

I watched him walk into the van before they took him off. Bike was in real bad shape. I thought he mightve just had a real bad concussion. Boy was I wrong.

I'll give the kid this, he's tough as shit to be walking after a fracture like that. When I broke my back out in glamis, i tried to crawl back to camp.....I made it 6 feet. The fact that Stroupe was walking right after the incident is good news.

Thoughts and prayers for Stroupy45. He sounded so excited to finally start riding again. Said he felt like a kid again getting his gear ready a few days ago. Glad it was not worse.

I hate injuries in mx. All the best for Stroupe, he has so much potential and raw speed.

Recently had almost the exact same injury, impact fracture of C6 and C7 from a cartwheeling crash that sent me onto my head. If his was just a crack through both like mine he probably didn't even have any idea it was broken, I sure didn't. Only thing I felt was pain in my shoulders. They will stabalize his neck and he'll be fully healed in 6 to 8 weeks. He's a tough dude, he'll be back at it in time for SX. Best wishes on the recovery.

From an email I got a bit ago...

Austin was coming over a blind section at speed only to see a much slower amateur kid directly in his path, he threw it away to avoid colliding with the kid. It was his first ride back after his shoulder injury. The prognosis is 4 – 6 weeks in a brace, could have been much worse.

This doesn't surprise me at all, he seems like a real stand up dude and would not take someone out. I am now an even bigger Stroupe-a-loop fan. Get well soon......
