But I don't think the Rotor video is fake. It has to be some sort of new video camera/lens. I thought it was mounted of the riders helmet at first and then in another clip, you could see the helmet and there was no camera or mount. Maybe they switch location of the camera in different segments of the video and then edited all the different camera locations into one video. I thought long and hard when I watch the video because I couldn't figure it out. I only watched it once and this is what I took away from it.
Lets hear what your theories are. But it is a very cool video, you have admit.
It's gotta be the worst angle i've seen with a helmet cam.
How they keep it focused on his head as it swivels is another story??????
As far as the rig remaining somewhat rotation-less about it's axis... it has a counterbalance arm on the opposite side from the camera that is precisely balanced to have the same moment arm about the rotational axis. By doing so the inertia of the camera during acceleration/deceleration and head movement is countered by an equal and opposite inertial force on the other side of the pivot...keeping it from swinging wildly about.
The vertical motion of the cam is suppressed by the users natural head movement (or lack thereof). Our bodies have a gyro-like mechanism in our ears to help keep our head stable.

It would have to be a little distracting but the footage does look pretty interesting.
