-The event had a great tunrout, best Ive seen in the last 2-3 years, one vender actually ran out of food and were apologizing to folks in line.
-Chad Reed is the smartest in the 450 class. Several times he picked off lappers just before the corners so that Dungy would be behind them entering and exiting the corners. Very Cagey.
-Dungy and Reed clearly are in the best shape and fitness. RV2 just cant pull the 2nd motot's together
-The track was wide and fast, if someone finished in front of you, it was because they were faster then you.
- Pro Circuit is putting on a clinic, these other teams better step it up, and soon!
- John Beasley getting married at intermission. I challenge any other track owner to top that!
-There was enough jailbail wearing next to nothing there to give every man there consecutive life sentences
-Alessi is the best of the rest. I think he will be battling for podiums soon though, and no I am not a fan
-Izzi was on it in moto 2 torward the end of moto 2 he slowed down allowing a few guys by and then resumed. Not sure what happened there, but he does have speed and decent fitness
-Barcia, still riding like a jerk, slamming anyone he passes for no reason other then to do it. I cant believe no one has blatently parked him yet.
- The 450's are retartedly loud, seriously, I dont think you need to puncture everyones ear drums lining the fence. I know i'll get flamed for this but I think the euro's have it right. NO WAY i bring my kids to the track to listen to that self serving stupidity.

***Overall the atmosphere was friendly, less retarted drunks, and more family friendly then in yeats past. Hot and humid, but there is shade to be found if needed. Had a wonderful time and will go every year as I have since 1991.

spoke with John 2 weeks ago. Said never agin to the GP, that he basically took a financial beatin' on that but would do another MXDN. The national however is his bread & butter

You have got to be kidding me dude, if you think RV doesn't have the fitness for the second moto, you are high.

What exactly is the upside of making a public sport obnoxiously loud? The whole outdated washed up rocker mentality dosent pay the bills. I saw way fewer kids there then in years past. Kids pay admission and buy product. Get over yourself

Good report. I think RV will be there from now on.

but, Lakewood will be RD's race. He needs to make a statement to get back in it. His last big MX win will be his next.

He just got his bike dialed in at High Point and was catching Reed in the mud and just ran out of time. He was clearly not himself in the second moto and was confirmed as being very ill. And yes, I was there and knew it was a bike issue or something else had to be wrong, he was a completely different rider the 2nd moto.

So, if you think that is getting smoked and unfit, then go ahead and believe that. The question is later this year when he is smoking people in the second motos will you come back on here and admit you were wrong?

He is really impressive. Last week he had a bad get off at the WORCS race, punctured his hip and broke his clutch finger. He went to the er that night, come back the next day to win the hour+ moto. If not for that, he would have pulled off top tens both motos yeserday. He ran around 7th a long time. I hope that shut you guys up on here saying he should give it up, that he was in it for the wrong reasons.
Great observation btw.

The last I checked you can "jam out" in a practice space or house without fear of having it closed due to noise complaints from the new suburbs over the hill.

Ever been to a drag race? If you don't like the loud engines STAY HOME, or wear ear plugs, pretty simple.

Do you guys realize that noise is the biggest complaint of bikes and one of the reasons for tracks been closed down.

"Because someone else does it" is poor reasoning to continue doing something.

Sometimes I think the OEM's, teams/riders and administrators don't fully understand the positive effect they can have on grassroots issues like noise. Several high profile people have made comments about noise (esp at the USGP at Glen Helen) that are disappointing.

In any case, it looks like the US is getting FIM sound regulations next year, so the bikes should be quieter.

Keep right on chanting "if it's too loud you're too old"!!

Trying to open a new track just down the road from us, you'll never guess what their biggest complaint is?

Grow up!

Everyone only THOUGHT RV's bike was running poorly in the 2nd cuz they kept hearing misfires. That's what happens when you combine a 4-stroke and stomach cramps.

They have 40 car/35 minute moto's at a drag race? Or what about 2 sets of 5 lap drags in 20+ classes that run all day and sometimes 2 days?

Ok Mr.know it all but really knows a lot of shit. along with RV2 stomach cramps, he had to release those bowels while riding, but decided not to. I don't now about you but I know if I had to shit my pants while racing but decide to hold it in,my mind would'nt be fully on racing either so I sure in hell would'nt be racing to my full potential either... So much props to RV2!!!Cool
