A & Pro Sport. Hung it up in '04 after a few-too-many knocks to the head, and the horrible crash of a friend during a moto when they were competing against each other - it was a bad dealio.

He's married and works all the time now...

We practiced/raced together for 14 years - mini's on up. It was so much a part of his life, and mine, that it almost seems weird looking back now...

Life has a way of hitting the after burners once they're grown, doesn't it...?

I wish my dad liked MX! haha. Might have got to ride more. In fact, I might have just retired from a pro career with millions in the bank. haha. Thanks dad!

My dad raced most of his life, except for the time he was married to my mom, an emergency room ER. There was a 16 year period I wasn't allowed near a motorcycle. Now we both race, my dad races mostly Dual Sports and Enduros.

My son is 16 now and we have been going to races together since he was 3, he started riding at 6, racing at 8 and I wouldn't trade all the money in the world for the wonderful and challenging times we have had doing it.

The best 14 years of my life were traveling with my son racing motocross.
So true.

My dad passed away when I was 2, never got to know him at all.
I promised myself and my boy when he was still in diapers that I was going to spend every moment with him that I could and I'm so glad that we have had all of our experiences together with racing, the good and the bad.

That last sentence really hits home with me today, it's my oldest's 36th birthday and he's a Dad himself. Damn good one too. Seems like yesterday I was holding him for the first time. Happy Father's Day guys.
