And the good luck with future contracts thing still applies...
Maybe he was promised things . Maybe he thought DV was in his corner. There isn`t many people he trusts. Payton would be one and his fellow frenchmen was the other. Well, at least that`s what he thought. imo

cp went for the money. plain and simple. MC was offering what he was asking for. they knew the risk they were taking. it was a gamble to land a (enigmatic) top tier rider. had this worked out, it could have landed them some serious yamaha support down the road, especially if JSE goes yellow. the gamble will not pay off. cant fault MC for trying, but you cannot feel sorry for them either. MANY saw this coming weeks ago.

those are the facts. another fact that should be noted, is matthes was right. i dont care for the guy, but you gotta give him credit on this. cp was making backup plans as early as 10+ days ago, and matthes broke the story first. credit due. cp can deny it all he wants but cp is lying if he says he hasnt had one foot out the door the entire time.

it should also be noted that dv has been honest and transparent throughout this whole process. and been pretty restrained by all accounts. cp is a nitemare to deal with. it was no secret before, and it definitely aint one now. buyer beware.

we all should have seen this coming considering what a shit-circus it was while ktm, valli, fc, pc, fox, etc and the rest were courting this nutcase. i mean shit, he's a 450 title talent and kawi wanted nothing to do with his 1.2 million price tag even tho monster and pc were willing to do anything to keep him on a kxf. there really is no defending this guy at this point.

now we can go back to our regular scheduled programming of clowning ddavis, bubba bashing, and the weekly jlaw false alarms.

dude, im the first one to give a guy the benefit of the doubt or look at both sides. just take a look back at my stances regarding the other two members of motocross' axis of evil (jlaw and bubba)......but in CP's case, there is just too much evidence stacked against him. there isnt a whole lot of mystery to the whole CP situation at this point.

So you don`t believe him when he says it`s not safe to ride that bike on that level, but you do believe everything other side says. How about locked up shock? Do you think it`s bullshit and Pourcel deliberately wants to go against USA moto industry, cause that`s what it is. You don`t think he has a reason for what he`s doing cause this will pretty much bury his carrier in USA? AS I posted before only one who will get screwed on this will be Pourcel, cause the team can easely say that he`s a pussy, not fit for our bike ect. So I will give him benefit of the doubt.

The shock and training bike fiasco makes it very hard for me to believe that this is a one sided story.

It's not safe because he aint safe. He does not seem to be there mentally and evidently doesn't know how or want to work on the settings. He could act like a man and go out there and do his best and work on the thing over the course of the season, treat his first 450 season for what it is... his ROOKIE season. I don't think he has what it takes anymore deep down in his gut and that is fine because it happens to everybody at some point but don't go wasting a teams time and money with your nonsense.

It's not a daily ritual to follow the motocross forum overseas in the USA. But this time I noticed the gossip about Christophe Pourcel that he might would return to Europe for CLS Kawasaki.

This news came to me not as a total surprise, I actualy was delighted of the fact that I already brought this news on MX Active as an Aprils Fool joke. How "strange" would it be, if my April fools joke would become reality?!

Well, Hahn is 10th. in points.

Surely CP would do a lot better than Hahn on the same bike - I would think?

Well, then what do you think about Chisholm`s crash? You know what, NFM. Don`t answer it. It`s not worth it.

Hahn and Chisholm would have both been on the podium if they didn't have this 377 distraction going on.

i dont know how much you follow my posts, but i stuck up for CP early.

i was all for him holding out for more money.

even tho i thought motoconcepts was the worst of the teams he was courting, i understood why he went there. and in all honesty, knowing how excited they were to get him, i figured they'd throw the bank at any request he wanted for his bike.

i stuck up for him when the testing issues began to surface. and i knew about them from day one. i dont get my info from these boards. im at the tracks here in socal almost on a daily basis. (i come here to bullshit just like the rest and i enjoy reading ddavis threads for the shit talking)....so when it began to leak that he was having suspension issues, saying, and i quote "I CAN ONLY RIDE THE BIKE AT 80%, I DONT FEEL SAFE ON IT" i believed him. and i was super amazed that he passed into 2nd place last week and was running good on a bike he only felt he could ride 80% on.

i stuck up for him because i believe that it is next to impossible to get the kyb stuff to work on the yamaha for someone of his caliber. but if he begged, motoconcepts would have found a way to get him some A-kit showa stuff. which may not be the factory kawi kyb stuff hes used too, but its good enough to win on.

and that's where i start to lose patience with the kid. there are teammates who have been busting there balls putting up with DV's schtick for months. paying there dues. and here comes CP, and motoconcepts rolls out the red carpet for the kid. and he completely disrespects them with his behavior.

CP is a complete LIAR if he tells anyone that he hasnt been in contact with europe from almost the start. (he was quoted in a magazine this week as saying he didnt know where the rumors were coming from) i know people whom he told straight up that he was thinking of leaving if they cant get the bike figured out. this was over a week ago.

motoconcepts hired this guy, knowing damn well what his rep is. they took the risk. so im not feeling sorry for them. you raise a rattlesnake and get bit, shame on you. but that doesnt absolve CP from being a jackass throughout this whole charade.

and i stick up for DV in this saga because everything hes said, (which is far more than he should have to imo), in the media and on these boards has been very forthright and honest. its the exact same shit you hear about going on behind the scenes. he hasnt been hiding anything. you gotta give him credit for that imo. we compain that the "insiders" dont give us the full story but when they do, we dont find them credible? if i were dv, i'd say good riddance and never come back on these boards again after the reactions to his euro interviews.

so to answer your questions, yes i believe pourcel when he complains about the bike. the issues were real. but he has NEVER fully commited to this team and as far as im concerned, he's lied about that when he says he never spoke to europe. he should be testing on a daily basis with motoconcepts, not heading off to florida throwing a fit in hopes of getting fired so he can bounce to europe. he is burying his career here and he doesnt care cause he knows how talented he is. its no different than jlaw. if that clown ever comes back and wins a moto, all will be forgotten. i mean, shit, pc was pissed when he signed with MConcepts, and now they are rumored to be back to building him a bike for europe.

pourcel has no leg to stand on in this ordeal. none whatsoever.

imo this wont just hurt pourcel, this hurts ever rider looking to sign a new deal, it hurts every european that comes over.

i understand you are giving him the benefit of the doubt. but you clearly wouldnt be if you heard all the bs that ive heard, not just whats been said here or in the mags.

Great points mod killer

- genova jumped on a champion to bring more money to the team and look out for his future
-he had 4 weeks to test and still says no good something is wrong here
- hahn and chiz are the best kids in the sport and could care less they know what they need to do
- a champion thinks he can do anything, I guess good luck to him

Sad deal for our sport he needs to be racing

i stuck up for him because i believe that it is next to impossible to get the kyb stuff to work on the yamaha for someone of his caliber. but if he begged, motoconcepts would have found a way to get him some A-kit showa stuff. which may not be the factory kawi kyb stuff hes used too, but its good enough to win on.

and that's where i start to lose patience with the kid. there are teammates who have been busting there balls putting up with DV's schtick for months. paying there dues. and here comes CP, and motoconcepts rolls out the red carpet for the kid. and he completely disrespects them with his behavior.

CP is a complete LIAR if he tells anyone that he hasnt been in contact with europe from almost the start. (he was quoted in a magazine this week as saying he didnt know where the rumors were coming from) i know people whom he told straight up that he was thinking of leaving if they cant get the bike figured out. this was over a week ago.

motoconcepts hired this guy, knowing damn well what his rep is. they took the risk. so im not feeling sorry for them. you raise a rattlesnake and get bit, shame on you. but that doesnt absolve CP from being a jackass throughout this whole charade.

and i stick up for DV in this saga because everything hes said, (which is far more than he should have to imo), in the media and on these boards has been very forthright and honest. its the exact same shit you hear about going on behind the scenes. he hasnt been hiding anything. you gotta give him credit for that imo. we compain that the "insiders" dont give us the full story but when they do, we dont find them credible? if i were dv, i'd say good riddance and never come back on these boards again after the reactions to his euro interviews.

so to answer your questions, yes i believe pourcel when he complains about the bike. the issues were real. but he has NEVER fully commited to this team and as far as im concerned, he's lied about that when he says he never spoke to europe. he should be testing on a daily basis with motoconcepts, not heading off to florida throwing a fit in hopes of getting fired so he can bounce to europe. he is burying his career here and he doesnt care cause he knows how talented he is. its no different than jlaw. if that clown ever comes back and wins a moto, all will be forgotten. i mean, shit, pc was pissed when he signed with MConcepts, and now they are rumored to be back to building him a bike for europe.

pourcel has no leg to stand on in this ordeal. none whatsoever.

imo this wont just hurt pourcel, this hurts ever rider looking to sign a new deal, it hurts every european that comes over.

i understand you are giving him the benefit of the doubt. but you clearly wouldnt be if you heard all the bs that ive heard, not just whats been said here or in the mags.

btw, nice grapeape with the biglenny award. i got a laugh out of that.
Nobody actually read that whole novel ^^^ right there did they? WOW there should be a limmit.
