What a race! Desalle might have caught Cairoli but got a case of whiskey throttle lol. Such a close race.

After going to the USGP twice, I have to say the racing isn't that great and with there being less riders on the track , it seems to get spread out very fast with not much action.

I can see now why more people from Southern California were at Hangtown then were at the USGP.

That was a good race. A mistake like that could really bite Desalle later in the year but what's done is done.

MX2 is starting to get a little too predictable with Ken winning all the time. Don't get me wrong it's still exciting but Tommy has a rotten gate pick after his probs yesterday and Zach is riding hurt. Good iron man performances from both those guys though. If Herlings could just find a touch more and we'd have a battle.

What a race!!

Desalle came from nowhere to make it into second and four way battle for the lead, then made a mistake and Phillipearts caught Cairoli again at the end but came up short. Great win by AC. Roll on moto 2!!

At Glen Helen I agree, but the track is massive. Im sure you will find that the same thing happened to an extent when the AMA races were held there.

The people putting in the REAL work are the riders/teams.

Yep, I'd have a hard job arguing with that as a VERY likely end result based on what we know now. Though none of these guys are out of it yet, it's still very early days. The problem is that in order for guys like Tommy and Zach to race Ken, they need to at least start with him. Even if they can't initially beat him..... it's the only way to really see what he's doing, the lines he's taking etc - and make the adjustment.

Right now I can't think of any time they've even had a chance to be in a direct battle for the top spot. The KTM's are so bloody fast of the gate it's unbelievable. I'm not saying Ken's only winning because of his KTM, of course not. He is the best rider in this class. But the combination of him and "probably" the best bike in the series doesn't afford the competition much room for error.

Yep Roczen has holeshot every race bar one so far this year... totally contrasting to last season where he rarely got a holeshot. I think the other guys have a chance if they get the holeshot but Ken is growing in confidence every week. The battles behind him are pretty good though.

Of course, but without the promoters putting together the tv/web production we wouldn't be able to watch them race from wherever we are in the world would we.

Whatever currency you use, $4, 4 euros, £2.65 whatever.... is still peanuts for the amount of coverage you get.

I am proud to say the Hangtown National track was more natural, had less jumps, and was rougher than todays GP. That might be a first.

Three more laps and Paulin is just 4 sec from Roczen and Paulin is 1.5 sec a lap faster.
