DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Pros:
Bike feels like it should.
Graphics, I think the graphics are pretty good.
Tracks, I really like a lot of the outdoor tracks.
Options- From graphics to gear, to customizing the plastic and wheels. They took the best things from Untamed and added them in this game. I don't think anyone has mentioned this but I think it's really neat to be able to switch between different sets of gear with just a click of a button, instead of having to change everything all over again.
Realistic- This game has it. you cannot just go through the whole course holding the bike wide open. You have to think about being smooth and not just going all out.
Cons:
Other than the obvious taunts, which I can completely get over and it something that is fun every once in a while:
Rider stance- which again I can get over and have no real problems with because the more flow you get with a track the better the rider looks.
Numbers- The numbers look weird, why not come up with a few different styles of numbers. You already have tons of gear options and background options, I feel like this was left out.
Other than that I'm really impressed. Thank you THQ Phoenix for producing a solid game.
The scrub reward thing you get around level 44 allows you to carry more speed, which helps A LOT. Finally figured out the preload which helps too. I've noticed this game is focused much more on the front wheel rather than reflex, that tended to turn with the rear wheel.
Like Reflex I just think it takes some time
Not a fan of the narrower style tracks, hoping SX tracks aren't all as tight as those in the stewart compound
$250,000
not sure what the poundage is on that but, you get the point...?
Besides that...
The cornering action is awesome! Clutch makes a huge difference and has to be used properly. The jumping action on take off is good but once in the air and upon landing reflex is definitely better. In the new game you can't straighten out your whips with the throttle like you could on reflex, i been doing alot of landing on my elbows (and still not crashing). Also in the new game i seem to lose alot of momentum everytime my tires leave the ground. Think i may be landing with the front end too high and losing my drive. It seems hard to keep the front end down and im am only on a 125, that 450 is gonna be a bear to keep down in the front.
Tracks are not impressing me, they are ok i guess. The jury is still out, and probably will be for the next 6 months while i try to get them all unlocked.
Bottom line, i am glad to have a fresh game to play and im sure it will get better.
I love the way the camera shakes when you go fast - great effect.
It took a bit of getting used to, but I dig the game. Very happy with the handling, the first tracks, the online. I miss the wrist twist but that's not a big thing. Love the graphics,
working hard to get my XPs up
Was this fixed in alive? Is it actually difficult to win on all time? So far I am on the fence on buying it, I want to because its a MX game, but some of the reviews are just bad, and the videos dont impress me too much.
Are there really no replays? The ones on Reflex were a joke, pretty much crashes or finish line jump over and over. What happened to the EA Supercross 2000 replays? You could watch any rider, any view, pause, slowmo, fast forward,... it was awesome. That is still the most played game for me. Physics were horible, handling was terrible, but it was difficult and it had the best career mode ever. You could set the difficulty in lots of ways, and play seasons over and over battling Doug Henry and Jeff Emig.
Lets see........turns better.....collision fixed...........track deformation less extreme...........AI players are actually fast.................If the PS3 network play is fixed this is a home run! Don't listen to the complainers Elliot, you guys done good. The usual whiners will complain no matter what and half of them don't even have the game (the other half are the same members second or third Vital account sign in names).........
The best part is I don't have to play on line with the dick heads, cheats, take out artists and jack wagons, the AI players are fun to race against.......Who needs the PS3 network now......(just need the DLC)........
THQ, you might want to think about selling an expansion pack with tracks, bikes, faster AI, etc. in a CD Disc format. You could market it on-line at the THQ site and sell direct. I'd buy one right now, screw SONY, whats to say it doesn't happen again to both XBOX and PS3. Take matters into your own hands and put the content on a disc.
Thanks THQ......
Pit Row
i played online for about 4 hours last night and never once had an issue, never got taken out, was never dropped from a room, the rooms never got stuck in limbo.
not to mention i put in some of my best times on some of the tracks while online
Minus the retarded hand gestures and yelling..
Too bad it takes so long to get to the good part of the game, I know a lot of people who stopped playing after level 10.
The tracks at level 25 are all good, the only good track before 25 is Grandview.
anyone else think the sx tracks are hard?
the first days it worked fine tho.
the supercross tracks are really tough, but once you get a good rhythm going it gets very rewarding.
moto48... that's weird man, i did public rooms for over an hour before joining a private room of 5 guys, what's your gamer tag? next time i get on i will send you an invite to our game room
when you start the game and play it, there is auto-save, so no manual saving necessary.
maybe you were signed into a different profile?
