First race of the year at my local track and they got a great turn out with allot of new and used 2 strokes. The track even went back to calling the classes the 125, 250, and open classes. I that the name change was good. Hopfully it takes off.

Looking at new model year, I would say no. Unless you live where only old bikes are raced. Could be the YZ vs SX race though?

I would say 3 or 4 normally now in 250b and c where a year ago there were none. Lots of thumpers for sale in the pits too. WI/MN

I saw a few at the LL qualifier in the Lites motos. But, the big names were on the thumpers.

I'm in NE Ohio and the racing organization here ( CRA ) has a 2 stroke specific
class. Opening day at Ohio Int'l Raceway had 45 guys that signed up in the
2 stroke class! They ran us all at once and luckily I wasn't one of the five guys
to be put in the 2nd row of the 40 man gate. It was a total blast!

There seems too be alot of guys selling the 4t's and getting used or left over 2t's and having alot of fun. Now are they having more fun cause they can afford to race or becouse they are racing 2t's again? When I switched back to a 2T I knew I could have gone faster at first but by the end of the year my speed was back.

What kept it fun for me was the challenge. I don't race MX because I'm lazy!!!!!

I race MX for all the challenges it has to offer. The 4T took away the most of the challenges and made me feel over confident. The 2T brought me right back to earth and I had to work to get back everything I lost while riding the lazy 4T.

MAN I LOVE MX!!!!!!!!!!

I can see how a 450 would do that, but a 250F doesn't change much..

The power curve on most new fourstrokes are no different then any two stroke. The 08 CRF450 is really a twostoke in fourstroke clothes. The hit is very CR like. One main difference between the two is really the two stroke vibrates a lot more. And the fourstrokes removed the need to use the clutch as much.

In Califonria its rare to see a bike on the line that's over two years old.
