Stark Future have utilized WSX’s off-season, it seems, as they stormed out of the gate at round one and scored their first podium via Michael Hicks. The Grand Prix of Canada in Calgary was at altitude and that would have served the electric bikes well, but how much of an advantage was it? Vital MX’s Michael Lindsay talks to Stark Future’s Sébastien Tortelli about their success.

Ok so is it true that for SX1 the Varg is capped at 54 kw (72.5hp) and for SX2 its 44kw (59 hp)?

Regardless of where the measurement is taken (considering the Starks don't have crank and gear box losses),  this is a significant advantage over the ICE bikes. Anyone out here in Vital land built a 59hp 250f?

STUPID is as STUPID does.

I Guarantee STARK KNEW BETTER.

I Guarantee they kept their mouth shut.

They know their product.

Another example for their own class, own division.

In fact, it’s almost laughable.

How many more times are they gonna get caught for their own STUPID 💩.

I agree Ozzy. I am all for electric bikes, but I think they need their own class. There is no real limit for their power output, so make a class and let all OEMs enter based on their class power parameters.  Make them a 100 hp for all I care.

ALL I know is Tortelli’s on the Payroll.
I watched his interview.
What BS.
Having been very Corporate myself at the highest level many times over, he’s basically full of it.
They’ve done this before.
I call it cheating.
They knew going in they had an advantage & they kept QUIET.
I’m not against e’s.
I’m an avid eMTB rider.
However, I’m against mixing Fuel & ePowered bikes.
Not just to stop cheating, but power delivery wise they’re apples & oranges.
Totally different regardless what their people say.
They need their own Class, etc.
AMA & Feld I applaud in this respect.
X Games as well.
Mix for exhibition ONLY.
Serious Championships, NO WAY.

I’d love to see a current top 10 guy line up for supercross on a Varg.  Would be really fun to see what a production e can do against the top factory ice rides.  I’m guessing the result would be tough for the establishment.
