Jorge Prado on: Breakthrough, Engine | Interview 2
A post-race chat with Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jorge Prado that stands in contrast to previous discussions – there was an air of positivity surrounding the reigning MXGP world champion. Prado, who raced to 5-6 scores and fifth overall at the ninth round of 2025 Pro Motocross, raced with an all-new setup on his KX450 and discovered a sense of comfort that had been missing before now.
What was it? Well, as he revealed in this exclusive interview with Vital MX's Lewis Phillips, he has finally found happiness with the Kawasaki engine. The throttle response and power delivery were more to his liking, and there is now a chance for him to build on this base with balance improvements. So drastic were the improvements that he is now fixated on achieving a trophy at the final two events.
This interview was first posted in audio form alongside discussions with Coty Schock, Ian Harrison, Lars Lindstrom, Jo Shimoda, Drew Adams, Julien Beaumer, Cullin Park and Crockett Myers.
