Well I was putting my suspension back on my bike and one way or another my brake side swing arm bearing has gotten all fucked needles have fallen out. With 75 hours on the bike I figure I may as well replace them. Should I just buy OEM bearings or an All Balls kit? Which is ultimately easier to install?
I usually buy an All Balls kit for the bushes and the like, then buy branded bearings and seals from the local bearing factor. Usualy works out a lot cheaper than OEM for a Japanese bike.
When I did my BIL's KTM 125SX the OEM bearing kits from KTM were surprisingly cheap. Nearly as cheap as an All Balls kit level of cheap.
Sounds like a ktm, the swingarm bearing needles come out and are a PITA to find & put back in! Last time I looked Ktm swingarm bearings were cheap, I would get OEM. I have had this happen so many times, I just ordered another bearing for the needles I lose.
All balls. They are both easy to put in. Freeze the bearings and heat up the swing arm with a torch and they drop right in.
Alls balls are cheap Chinese crap IMO. Go with SKF or oem.

NONE of all balls stuff I have used came with China bearings. Maybe I am just lucky.
For a swingarm IMO even if they where it would be OK. A high speed bearing in an engine is an other animal.
China does make bearings that are OK if you buy the correct ones that are of a higher spec than most of them. I just bought some for my trailer that looked mighty fine.
KTM uses SKF, and the KTM bearings have been cheaper each time i have compared, bearing suppliers around dont like to stock smaller bearings like these.
OEM.....the price difference will be nominal. This way you will know that the needle bearings will fit. Hopefully you won't have to take out the cage.
Don't think I have ever NOT changed the cage.
Pro tip I learned from someone on here when I lost a couple needles and was trying to ride the next day. Snipped some ends off some steel rivets I had that were roughly the same diameter as the needles in the bearing, said I would change the bearing after the weekend. Put like 30 more hours on the bearings and just pulled everything apart to grease and they’re still holding shape just fine, no slop or nothing 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah I bought the KTM full bearing replacement kit. Ended up just repacking the original cages and everything went back together perfect. Thanks for the input everyone.
