Doing some work on my KTM 640 and I want to clean up a rats nest of wiring. I got one of those sets of de-pinning tools and seem to have most of the connectors figured out. But these female round ones are not budging. One of the tools is the perfect size as it fits over the prong, but still slides in the plastic connector. I can push it in and it will stop, but still the lead does not release. Is there some trick to these?

the tabs on the sides of the pin...
will be catching on the plastic connector.
Grab the wire on the back of the connector and push it into the connector, slide the de-pinning tool into the connector, then pull the wire to remove the connector pin.
It that doesn't work, use a small screwdriver or pin to bend the tabs, before pulling on the wire to remove the connector pin.
Ah, so the connector needs to do a little go forward before it goes backwards and out? Thank you, I will try that!
The de-pinning tools for that style (looks like an old Molex connector) are a sleeve that you push in from the connecting end toward the wire end of the plug.
Often when you're in a pinch, you can cut a strip of an aluminum beverage can and roll it up on a small rod to make that tiny sleeve to de-pin the connector without doing damage. An internet search for Molex connector tools might give find you the legit tools if you want to own them.
I haven't confirmed that the KTM stuff is actually Molex, but it's likely.
