What do you who live thru cold winters use for antifreeze? I had a close call last year with the Motul -37 rated coolant with a partially burst radiator . I never seemed to have a problem now I’m a bit worried about it as I don’t have room to keep everything inside during winter . Maybe it’s better off to just drain the system to be safe , I suppose an automotive coolant may also be suitable ?

How low of a temp do you face?   I do literally zero prep and was fine with days in the negative and bikes in an unheated garage.

We often see -40, since posting i've discovered that Yamaha OEM Yamacool is rated for -52 so I've picked some of that up.

MN here, no issues storing bikes in the cold as we see -20F or so every year. Just test the coolant using a cheap hydrometer (I have one with the floating disks) for piece of mind of freeze protection. If it's not on par due to adding water, ect... Drain and refill with fresh pre-mixed coolant. I have KTM and Yamaha brands and no issues using the Motorex or Yamacool...
