Who has a 2025 onwards KX250 or 450 for that matter?
Shifting gears on this thing is a little difficult at times and wondering if anyone has a fix for this ?
What oil are you running ?
Rotella?
Move shift lever up or a longer lever might help?
So I got my 2026 KX 250 delivered last night at 9 PM. Went over real quick to check the Dealer prep was OK re-oiled the filter and went and broke it in today.
Fucking worst shifting piece of crap I’ve ever ridden in my life! Absolutely will not shift under full power at all.

et rid of the diesel oil & put REAL motorcycle oil in it Semi Synthetic 20w50 will make it shift(Golden Spectro 20w50 semi syn)
The Rotella was just a joke... I assume it came with the Kawasaki racing semi-syn 10w-40 that the manual recommends. I usually use Castrol MA2-rated motorcycle oil in my past thumpers with no issues.
I spoke to a Team Green off-road pro who said some of his have been pretty bad when new, but smoothed out after a few hours of break-in. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
