Brand new bike that I'm having issues with and know that there is some type of defect going on.
At approx 15-minutes into a Moto the bike is dying and losing all source of power. For example, going down a straight away in third gear, letting off the throttle to a low RPM range, and then getting back on the throttle it randomly bogs out and dies. Three times it has started back up when it has happened, but today is completely quit as if the top end blew.
Here are some extra facts:
- First time it happened was less than 1-hour.
- Bike is always full with fuel before a Moto. I would say that I've used approx 35% of the tank when it starts happening.
- Consistent at approx the 15-minute mark
- Bike has no issues idling or starting back up after it happens
- Bike is not running poor or shows any signs of when/if it's going to happen
- 3/4 times it did it was in map 2, but when it officially quit today it was in map 1
- Has happened in 3rd gear at very low RPM's each time
I had a 2023 last year and never had any issues with it.
To me it's like the bike is "glitching" out and reseting itself.
Side note, the first few times I thought I was just lugging it too low or the idle wasn't high enough. Today was the nail in the coffin that there is something seriously wrong going on. Just glad that it hasn't happened at much worst spots on the track.
Thanks in advance.

Should still be under warranty take back to dealer fuel pump-ecu not unlocked-wire harness-coil
These TBI bikes are not conducive to the type of online troubleshooting help that carb bikes were. There's just too many variables, constraints and unknowns and possible issues for anyone online to assist. As stated, hopefully the dealer can help (many times they are lost as well on these bikes). Otherwise, you are likely better off on a few of the Facebook TBI groups as there is a larger number of owners that have dealt with these kind of issues.
I would do a quick check of all electrical connections to make sure nothing is loose or coming out, then try inline fuel filter. Have you washed the bike & got the start/stop/ map switch wet? But as stated, brand new bike, I would be going to dealer for warranty test…
fuel tank not venting properly?
The Shop
Faulty fuel pump ended up being the issue.
Thanks for posting!
There is a lot your can do from home (or even the track) with an owners manual and a few tools, including identifying a faulty pump.
