Sound of Freedom

Must see! Holy shit!!

I have very close friends that are on the frontline in the fight against child trafficking. I have had lengthy conversations with them about what they do and how they can do it. This movie brings me a bit closer to understanding.

I can't remember the last time I shed tear/s in a movie theater.

-"The incredible true story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers."

-"Sound of Freedom, based on the incredible true story, shines a light on even the darkest of places. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy's sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death."

I saw it Saturday night.  So disturbing!  And disgusting.  And an amazing story.  Everyone should see it.

Also disgusting is the left leaning media trying to make it go away…claiming it’s not real, and conspiracy, etc etc.  Why would they talk down about this when it shining a huge spotlight on a massive problem?  I saw a feminist on YouTube saying the problem (sec slavery) is greatly exaggerated and the movie is propaganda!  WTH?  You’d think a feminist would want to do anything to protect the women/girls sold into slavery?  But apparently not…what gives?

Though I’ve never met him, Several different friends of mine from different social circles, have worked with Tim Ballard in various capacities (some have been involved in the sting operations like the one the movie is about) since he moved to Utah, and those people have nothing but good things to say about him!

Agree, Amazing insight to what's going on.

One question?, why are some media outlets and disney so disturbed that this film is out?

There’s nothing more baffling on earth than the liberals trying to shut this down.

I don't got to theaters anymore.  I avoid supporting Hollywood and the filth/BS they push.

This movie, I will gladly shell out money and go to the theater to see.

If you ask me, you line up these motherf***kers doing this stuff to kids and eliminate them.

I have not yet seen the movie, but saw clips of the MSM calling it a "Q" based fantasy film so that raised the red flags.

So disturbing to try and understand why the "left" pushes so hard to want our to children to become, or been seen, as victims of being something other than a child.

Or want them to be naïve to being victims of gender confusion or sexual exploitation.

The whole "Identify" and "transition" movement for children is just sick.

If you cannot legally drive, vote, drink alcohol, or watch a "rated R movie"- then how the fuck are you supposed to be mature enough to physically "change" your sexual identity that will impact the rest of your life?

If you've listened carefully, seems like people in hollywood, (kevin spacey is the latest example) and the media are getting popped left and right with accusations of either, sexual assault of a minor, or tons of it on their computers.

Some sick bstrd from cnn just last week.

I think we all have no doubt what's happening to all of the children being brought across our southern border, and the sick, twisted people in powerful places allowing it to happen.

(Or driving it)

There's more jeffery epstein's out there than we can ever imagine.

Some of the same media outlets that rejoiced over the netflix show "cuties" are the same ones denouncing sound of freedom.... that tells you all you need to know.

There was one outlet that interviewed Ballard years ago, and praised him for his work.... now that same outlet is criticizing SoF.

I read somewhere that the studio the movie was shot at had "christian ties" and was called angel studios or something like that.. maybe a reason for the hate?

I saw it yesterday, and you're right , it's a powerful movie. I know some may think it's political, but it isn't. It sheds light on a subject that everyone across the board should be aware of. The amount of kids and adults that go missing and sold as slaves and sex slaves is staggering. Over 2 million a year. And it's happening in every country on earth. Including this one.

Just read where a, "BBC star" has been busted for a three year affair with an underage girl.

This disgusting shit runs deeper than any of us can ever imagine.

That's the reason for the pushback on this film.

It's opening up more eyes to this, than they care to have opened.

85,000 children have gone missing after crossing the border under Biden.

Angel Studios is behind this movie and they are producing and funding some really great movies that people need to watch.

Hollywood is a cesspool.

The reason no media outlets or politicians promote the movie is because they all approve of trafficking.

The southern border is wide open to facilitate human trafficking. Not because of immigration. Both sides want us to think it's an immigration issue.

85,000 !!?? What in the living hell. I didn't know that number , and I can honestly say this infuriates me. How can anyone turn a blind eye on this? As far as that goes , how many people right here on this site , on the opposite side of the political isle of myself and many other's.....just stay way clear of a thread like this. Where are the progressives here , that jump into every political thread on here? Not ONE has even gave their $.02 here.

I'll bite Jeffro, since you asked nicely.

First of all, child abuse in all forms is wrong and should be punished more harshly than it currently is, but my view is that violent crime and sexual crime should be pubished more harshly than it currently is, child or adult, I'm not very left on that front.

Second, maybe take a minute and read up on what this organization says about the accuracy of the events of the film according to their own. It's pretty close but some liberties were taken. Maybe the most important point in this article is that trafficing victims (at least in the US) are not usually "stolen" but rather coerced into escalating situations through trusted intermediaries like Ghislaine Maxwell. Let's not forget how Virginia Guiffre got hooked up with the Epstein crew.

https://ourrescue.org/blog/sound-of-freedom-based-on-true-story

Third, it's important for parents to make kids aware of how to spot a creep, how coercion and escalation happens, and how not to take shit from anyone. I went on a rant about this a couple weeks ago that I deleted, I'm not going to get into it here again. You don't want kids to end up in situations like this, no trafficking needed.

https://deadstate.org/soccer-coach-leaves-phone-at-restaurant-employees…

Fourth, the primary driver of the movie is child abuse. The secondary driver of the movie is to put blame for that abuse on someone, and it hasn't taken very long for that to happen. Let's just hope no vigilantes go looking for a pizza shop basement and ends up shooting innocent people. I'm going to assume you have a Peacock subscription to watch moto, check out a series called Paul T Goldman, for a different sort of look at amateur pedo investigation when someone gets an idea in their head.

Fifth, there's a man Fabian Marta from St Louis who claims to get a special thanks in the credits of the film for being an early investor. He also promotes sugarbaby/sugardaddy meet-up parties in the area. Make of that what you will as that information is only single sourced and i dont know if his name actually appears in the credits like he claims on Facebook. Coincidentally Missouri is one of the States with the highest human trafficking by most accounts.

SIxth, about 35% of America hates Hollywood. This movie cost about $15 million to make, for as much money as Republicans have and waste on nonsense, they should use it to make movies for Republicans down at Chick-fil-A studios in Atlanta because current Hollywood does do a crap job of making right wing entertainment aside from all the network cop shows.

Glad you guys liked the film.

Also no down votes are from me, I don't downvote its stupid.

And who cut the funding.

Have you seen the movie?

1. EDITED: I may have misread your comment initially. Sexual abuse, in any case, is horrible. The rape of an innocent child, yeah I can't even. I agree punishment should be more harsh for both, but way more harsh for people who do this to children IMO.

2. 100%. This was a movie "based" on true events. It wasn't a documentary. I don't think many people with a functional brain would think otherwise. There were definitely liberties taken. I think the grooming thing is a "huge" part of it as you alluded.

3. It's so important to teach our kids!! However, they are kids. Shit, many adults aren't capable of discerning when they are being coerced.

4. Once again I ask. Have you have seen this movie. Or are you just parroting something you read?

5. That is some wild speculation. I would like you to cite your source. Not saying it ain't true, just sayin. Even if true, how does this take away from the topic of this movie?

6. You totally lost me on this one. I tried to understand your point and what it has to do with this movie. Oh, maybe you haven't seen the movie....

Also no downvotes from me either. I can give you one if you don't believe meSmile

1. Violence is a trend too many times.

2. The OUR organization is I think the one the guy was working with, check out the link it's not a gotcha just a clarifier. The point I was making is that it doesn't always happen with kidnapped kids on an island, as the link says often its you girls getting set up for "modeling jobs" and such.

3. Teach kids to be intuitive from a young age.

4. I haven't seen it, I don't go to the movies much, last I went to was Mario movie with my kids, I think Rise of Skywalker before that. I expect the trafficking/pedo stuff to get alot stronger the farther into '24 we get.

6. Conservatives always say "Hollywood sucks and they can't make movies". While there is alot of absolute garbage that comes out (especially on streamers) I like to say "if you think you can do better, go for it". The right has a ton of money they just usually aren't too concerned about making vertically integrated movies with all conservative production unless it's from a religious group. It's gotten crazy easier to make movies in the last 20 years right wingers should give it a go.

5. Yeah I know it sounds weird and honestly I don't really know what to make of it but check it out.

Typical leftist puke, digging deep to come in here trying to throw shade on anyone involved in the film.
