Looks like 2025 will be one of those years with changes to some makes/models that have t changed in the last few like Honda.

I imagine quite a few are waiting to see the outcome of changes to 2025 Honda 250 and 450.  Same for Both Betas, 300 RX which is now a 5 speed, smaller tank, reinforced subframe.  The 450 RX got a few changes too.

If some of these changes stick might shake up pecking order in shootouts.

In my case I’d like to see a more stable less picky Honda than the 23 I have.   As far as Beta, I bought a 300 RX because of large tank, 6 speed kinda Swiss Army knife bike.  Lot of off-road guys bought 300 RX for those reasons.  Beta needed to deal with the subframe, Battery and power delivery with the 450 RX.

All of this makes for good reading for us guys that like to read reviews and shootouts.

Probably other models, KX 250 with a few changes too.

I’m retired, late sixties and still get excited when new bikes come out.

I forgot about Triumph.  New or not I bet it hits close to the top in shootouts.

Do many people even have the Triumph? Seems like they are at dealers now, locally anyway. No ride reports though...my local Beta dealer has 3 450s and 1 more 300rx, probably complicates ordering 25s? I think the 25 300RX is very interesting being a MX specific bike now and still carbureted...you'd think that would make it real appealing. Only a few bikes I am interested in for 25, the 300rx, the Hondas or the Tomasin, I think that will be interesting too since that is based on the last gen.

Hoping to hear a bit more before buying this time or may just wait til mid/late 25 and get the Ducati

I'm surprised we haven't seen much on the Triumph.  I see some on face book for sale on dealer floors.  I'm sure somebody have one, would thought we hear more.

I think the 5 speed Beta will not be a big seller.  The guys buying 300 Betas are offroad guys.  I predict the 5 speed 300 RX as is will only last a couple more years and thats it.  Yeah some say first gear isn't usable on the 300 Beta, other say 6 gear is never used.  Even it 6th gear isn't used much offroad guys will think they need one.  I haven't riden my 300 Beta in the woods, not my thing but I think first would be usable in some situations.

I’ve been thinking about a CRF250R, but I’m curious if the YZ250F sees some refinement for 2025.

There's a fast young amateur rider at our local club who's got a Triumph.  He loves it. Says it's crazy fast

I really want to know if the new Honda 450 is any better. It sure looks bad ass.
But I think I’ll have a new KTM by the end of this weekend. Secretly I’ve been thinking about the new Honda 450.

I think the Honda took a big step backwards in looks. They had the cleanest looking bike in the class last year
