Putting this here to keep it less opinionated then the main moto related forum.
It’s that time of the year where lots of mx companies are accepting resumes for rider support and lots of us are planning for next season already so let’s talk about it.
What’s on your resume?
What have you removed from it?
What companies have supported you that stand out?
What have you done to set yourself apart from the masses that apply?
Chime in with anything related

I'd put a full-page color race photo on the front, then my accomplishments, recent results, and my plans for the coming year on a 2nd page. It would look like:
-Rider Name
[Current Main Sponsor/Shop/Team Name]
-1999 CMMC 125cc Champion
-2000 Fish Lips Raceway Fall Series Champion
[etc.]
2001:
3 wins, 10 total podiums
WMGP Moto win
[detailed season results with dates and finishes]
[Brief intro and some words about myself, when I plan to race, how I intend to help the sponsor sell product]
[Invite the sponsor to call me and offer additional requests for sponsorship activation]
I think the part that earned me the most results was where I pointed out what I was going to do to help them sell their products.
My standout sponsorships included Renthal USA, Thor, Maxima and Spy. Later Thor was replaced with Troy Lee Designs and then NoFear. (Those were the official, contracted ones. I also had backdoor support or discounts from AXO, Oakley, and the local Del Taco at one time or another. Not kidding. Del Taco!) Most of these deals were "2 for 1" or deep discounts, but I did get free product from Renthal and some of the backdoor deals.
Late in my sponsored days, I rode for a team which had group sponsorship from Flexfit, TLD, Enzo and Bridgestone, but I didn't really earn those deals on my own.
I signed up for Moose 35% off. While in a Chicago shop last week. Then tried Maxima oil Ty Ya Ukraine cool Hot chic was too bust to help or take my pic. So I used the only pics I had on my phone, shirtless, & bike pics. Haha. My resume woukd not send . I clicked on resume box filled out stuff . It would not send. Actually I never did a resume in my life. I did include AX 30+ championship contender. I should win it since not many do 12 rounds. That’s big for sponsors right now? A championship. And exposure at the race. On Nov 18 I turn 59 not many racing a DBP 125 . What sponsors r interested in supporting AX ? Woukd like to land a bigger 1 like a Hotel water park etc for contengency or cash for expenses. A couple Hot Ukraine chics on the DBP / Double Boost Port Team . Promoting the Tube Tops. Haha
