Hey guys, had a question regarding setting sag. I recently had my suspension done by race tech for my 2023 Crf250r, they have a different way of calculating the sag than honda does in the manual. Has anyone else come across this dilemma?
The only difference I can imagine is Race Tech takes 2 measurements for sag, to account for stiction. This is not necessarily in conflict with the way Honda says to "measure" sag, it's just more accurate.
The other difference might be the actual amount of sag, such as 106mm versus Honda saying 100mm, for example. Again, go with the advice of the tuner you have hired.

In my experience, making slight adjustments to sag from track to track can be very beneficial on the Honda as the chassis is very sensitive to set up (previous and current gen). I’m running 104-106mm on my 22’ crf250r depending on terrain (sand vs hard pack).
Good luck, you’ve got a great bike!
