Kxf450 problems

Hi all new to this forum
My problem is I have kxf450 2014 model won’t start from a kick but will start if I connect a 12v battery any ideas ?? Thanks

Just had the captor sorted / West Country windings also tried another condensor still same problem

So, did the bike have a 12 volt battery new? I did not think that year had a battery.
Stator not creating the 12 volts?

Sorry it was my stator I had sorted , as it was earthing out , had it rewound and sorted , the bike never came with a battery from factory , just has a condensor/ capictor and I’ve also tried one off another bike / and tried mine on his and is working fine on his bike !!!

If you had a stator failure I’d inspect the regulator/ rectifier to make sure its operating correctly...

Kawasaki and Suzuki have a harness that plugs any motorcycle 12v battery into the bike in place of the capacitor. It is used for connecting the diagnostic software up to the bike. I have found it useful for diagnosing stators as well. Had an rmz that felt like it was running out of fuel, but when connected to the battery ran fine. Stator had eaten a cam cap dowel.

Stator was damaged but all sorted now !! And still won’t start , 12v seem to prime the fuel pump up , once bike starts it runs great just needs that battery to start it when it shouldn’t

Can anyone explain how a flywheel would be touching the stator ?theres No movement in flywheel
