I had picked up this KX112 and opened her up and found some scoring on the wall of the cylinder. I also found some detonation damage or some type of damage Photo to the lip of the cylinder and lip of the cylinder head as seen in the pictures. Is this worth worrying about? Photo

Your head gasket was leaking on the intake side. It could have caused the exhaust bridge to over heat or it just didn't have enough relief on it when built.

It needs a little love.

Exhaust bridge damage is a common "kryptonite" of those cylinders. Some builders will reweld and reshape that port to better withstand prolonged abuse. Even though they are small, these suckers do vibrate quite a bit thanks to higher revs, so good to check the torque on your head, cylinder, and any external bolt you can touch.
