2stroke dieseling possible?

I have a 1985 Honda oddest fl350. On a couple rare occasions this thing goes from running well to wide open. When this occurs the kill switch doesn’t kill the engine. Once I pulled the plug wire off and it kept going. Stuck water hose in the intake to kill it. What is going on here?

yes, i have had a 2 stroke diesel on me before, it was actually a scooter with a CVT so i couldn't stall out the motor, I had pulled the spark plug lead off and it was still going and screaming its head off..luckily i had the magneto side cover off for testing so i held a block of wood against the magneto to stall it. very scary. later i inspected the plug and the insulator had chipped away and looked burnt so I assumed it was potentially acting like a glow plug..
