Was curious from those of you that have put a lot of hours on the bike about the problems you have ran into if any. Just want to know what things I can look out for or try to prevent. How many hours do you have on your bike and what fuel and oil do you use?

in 2018, no 450 will have any reliability issues provided you keep the filters clean and change oil every 4-8 hours.

My 18' was a lemon. Previously had a 15' YZ 450 with 80 hrs and no issues. One top end was done, that's it. My 18' YZ 450 had issues at 4 hrs. Countershaft sprocket seal leaked. at 10-11 hrs the starter clutch went. at 20 the engine grenaded. Oil squirter broke off, losing oil pressure and destroyed my whole engine.

My 18 had 60 hours with no issues, my 19 had 40 hours with only the starting button breaking once.

Get the Twin Air Powerflow kit and change the engine oil and filter every 4 hours and you're set. Great bikes!

My 2018 was great. 40 Hrs, no issues whatsoever and I'm pretty hard on bikes. Just do really good maintenance and you will be set. I changed oil every 3 hours, filter every day of riding, sometimes twice a day because they do seem to dirty up filters faster than other bikes.

my pro class bro travis has 85-90 hours on his 18 zero issues. he is hard on it revs it to the moon and is pretty lax on servicing it.
