Hey all,

For those who have experience with owning/using a Dyno, what brand or type do you prefer?

I have had some limited dynojet experience in the past, but I would really like to hear from people who operate them frequently. I am looking to add one to my shop.

So far I believe I will be choosing between:
-dynojet 250ix
-Land + sea 800 pro

Thanks!

My experience is limited to the 250i and a couple other random brands...cant remember the name.

The 250i seemed to have all the bells and whistles, not to mention the software was a ton better... Eddy Current dynos FTW.

the ix looks to just have more/better electronics and software so that is probably a badass unit.

I have had a few and have bought two Dyno Jets with my own money (in 1994 a 150 and now days have a 250).

In the years I worked for Kawie and KTM tace teams we used a few more Dynojets, Superflow, DTS and Dynodynamics. Haven t see or used a Land and Sea (I am in Australia).

If i had any say in it it would be a Dyno Jet for sure. They are widespread, lots of knowledge and experience so when they play up the back up is better.

One place I was at the Management had bought a dyno purely on price and once they had it installed we found the smaller bikes and two strokes couldn't be tested on it not accurately anyway ...I believe it is still there collecting cobwebs.... Best choice order a new 250ix
