Anyone having any problems with the clutch? One of our offroad guys is killing it every time out. We have gone hinson and still having trouble. He rode a 250 last year gncc no trouble at all so I know he is not a clutch beater.

Have not had issue one with ours all season. Replaced fibers, steels, and springs as regular maintenance. Also frequent oil changes.

lol... I just spent over a month replacing just about everything on the KX450 09 as a brand new bike. IT FINALLY is totally fixed, after a new wiring harness, new ECU, new shifting nuetral sensor. It may be a great bike when its working.. but what a mother fucker when it isnt.

No issues on either of our 09's but there is not a lot of friction material on the oem plates.

Are you soaking the plates before you put them in?

We are using the clutch springs from the KXF450 ATV in our bikes for the GNCC's. They are a little stiffer and the clutch likes it. Rottella T oil.
Or, you could just get a Rekluse EXP clutch. I have one with about 13hrs. on it for sale.

As h_reed said......use the springs out of the kfx450 atv. They are shorter ( but stiffer ) and they WILL cure the problem.....and yes , I have tested the tension on them as well as the stock ones.
