So my MX125C is complete, I am looking towards my next project of trying to straighten up my 1970 Indian 50 Boy Racer which I have had since new.
During my parents divorce in 71, I lost track of the bike until 83. In taking care of my dad's estate after his passing, I found the bike, along with my 68 Honda Mini Trail and had them shipped back to Florida. They both ran, and still do, but they are in rough shape.
The Mini Trail is not going to be difficult to find the things I need for it. The Indian, not much out there.
Any bikes, parts, or what have you for a 1969-70 Indian 50cc Boy Racer I will be most interested in.
This is the 16 inch wheel model with the Jawa 50 engine , three speed , manual clutch.
Anything out there ?

The cosmetic part will be a bit challenging. Rims and spokes, paint, upholstery can be handled here in Florida. Need a bit of plating done as well.
I know I will probably never find them, but a set of original number plates will be the toughest nut to crack.
I will make my own molds. Then send them to a fiberglass company to get the final set with a nice gelcoat finish.
It will get there, slow but sure.
I remember going over to Beau Bohannons house to buy my first race bike
(YZ 125 X) from him and he still had an Indian that had YZ 80 sized wheels
but I'm not sure if it was a 50 or a 75. He let my ride it and that thing was extremely
fast . Had 6 speed tranny . Do you know what that one was?
The Shop
I can recall as a 5 year old kid the little Benelli's coming two to a crate being dropped off right to our house before the shop opened up.
If you happen to know of any parts or complete bikes like the one pictured, name your price.
here is a pic of it befeore I got the seat done...I will post the most recent pic if people are interested..
it currently does have the # plates and front fender...this is just a quick pic I had when I was rebuilding the bike
Please post a picture or two of the completed bike. Would love to see them.
still got a couple small things to do but basically finished...and maybe for sale
Just buy this one and use the necessary parts to make YOURS brand new again . LOL !!!
