As title says 1984 CR500 local to me have a friend that's interested wasnder what it's worth. Looks complete but will need a complete teardown to make it raceworthy. I know that year bike had bad rep sort of like a 490 with the pinging issues but am hoping he can get it to run well if he does purchase it. Plus side is the bike is titled making things a lot easier. In Qc. you need to plate any bike that gets trailered or loaded into a pick-up to get to a riding area.
Joking aside how is your bike coming along?
(heat and high comp)
Check with Gorr or some other twostroke tuner, if they dont have a ready fix they should be able to calculate and redesign it
The Shop
Yes my friend purchased the CR500 sat morning and he seems well pleased. He suggested concentrating on my '79YZ250F , then the Can-Am and then the YZ125H. I'll try and purchase the 490 and leave it in boxes until
at least two others are finished before.
I'm really happy for him and feel no remorse at all not getting the CR, as a matter of fact I'm going to part out the '80CR125 on eBay over the holidays, just no time or interest in it since I came across the MX6B
I'm quite content with what I have now and glad to have lucked out on some good deals that may not come my way again in this neck of the woods
