Man Beaten By Mob, In Critical Condition

MOBILE, Alabama --
Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he's in critical condition.

According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.

Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.

Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. "It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed." Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using "brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on."

Police will only say "multiple people" are involved.

What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said "Now thats justice for Trayvon." Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed February 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Florida.

Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects. They're asking anyone with information to call them at 251-208-7211, Crime Stoppers at 251-208-7000, or text a tip to 274637 and include the keyword CRIME 411.

So some blacks beat up a white guy, who cares? Reverse the situation and we've got Rodney King type shit happening all over again. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, right? Maybe that sounds racist, but if the truth is racism then so be it.

Kid that used to work for me in the summers while off from school was attacked by a gang of black kids for no reason whatsoever when he was in high school. They beat the shit out of him. Being the class valedictorian and an Eagle Scout it was quite funny to hear him tell of "being accosted by a group of approximately nineteen black youths". He's such a good person he wouldn't even speak poorly of the people who put him in the hospital.

Black on white crime won't get media coverage. White on black crime can't get enough. It's not racist unless a non white person is the victim. Those pieces of shit that beat him need justice. Where is the outcry? Will white people riot and destroy innocent people's shops and steal merchandise if they don't get their way? Will white people pull an innocent black truck driver out of his car and smash his head with a cement cinder block? I guess we'll wait and see. I hope not though.

Maywood, Ill. - Alton L. Hayes III, a west suburban man charged with a hate crime, told police he was so upset about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida that he beat up a white man early Tuesday.

Hayes and a 15-year-old Chicago boy walked up behind the 19-year-old man victim and pinned his arms to his side, police said. Hayes, 18, then picked up a large tree branch, pointed it at the man and said, “Empty your pockets, white boy.”

The two allegedly rifled through the victim’s pockets, then threw him to the ground and punched him “numerous times” in the head and back before running away, police said. Hayes and the boy are black; the victim is white.

After being arrested, Hayes told police he was upset by the Trayvon Martin case and beat the man up because he was white, Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said, citing court records.

Martin, 17, was fatally shot Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla., by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, who was charged April 11 with second-degree murder. Zimmerman is Hispanic, while Martin was black.

Hayes, 18 of the 1200 block of North Woodbine Avenue in Oak Park, was charged with attempted robbery, aggravated battery and a hate crime, all felonies, Oak Park police Detective Cmdr. Ladon Reynolds said.

Hayes was ordered held on $80,000 bond and remained in the Cook County Jail on Friday. He will next appear in court May 11. The boy was referred to juvenile court.

This woman shot a mother of a 3-day old newborn while she was putting the infant in the carseat, and then stole the baby and left her to die. Bet you guys didnt hear about this one on ABC World News. Oh, thats right, it was a white woman who was murdered and her 3-day old baby kidnapped. No protesting, no Obama chiming in, "That coulda been my mom", no outrage, no Spike Lee tweets, just a dead innocent mother who had just walked outta a pediatric clinic getting her child a Dr. visit.

In my perfect world there would be no trial for Verna McClain or prison time. She would either be hung the next morning or executed behind the courthouse in full public view by a firing squad. It's about time we got back to being a little more strict than just sentencing them to 3 hots and a cot in a prison somewhere so that my tax dollars can keep a cold blooded murderer alive.

I saw it on CNN, but the reason that it probably didn't get more press is because it's an open and shut case. That lady is probably going to get the death penalty. Simple as that. It's not like the cops let her walk.

Who would you suggest getting the word out to? The liberal news organizations? They already have the info and have chosen not to pursue it. Get it to Obama? His justice department has made it clear they will not prosecute black on white crime. What really needs to happen is for people to stop complaining and start putting large gaping holes in "youths" that attack them.

It's always the same people that are all riled up about race. IMPO, the Zimmerman case is more about gun rights, and those kooks that can't admit that one of their own fucked up, and some laws need to be changed.
