look, i think what he did was despicble. but he said last night he was first exposed to it at 8 years old and even the cops in Newport News didn't do anyhting about it. i can't fathom it as a way of life, but black folks from the hood probably don't inderstand my playing golf with rich folks who cheat on their taxes either.
Great post Dean. Fuck no we can't understand that way of life.

I know where and who Mike came from....his POS dad worked for me for years. He was always a good kid considering where and who he came from and never forgot those that help get him to the top. Donated shitloads of money locally and at VT. He was never a thug or made trouble. He fucked up and supported some of his boys back on the block and getting caught is the best thing that could have happened to him IMO.

EVERYBODY deserves a second chance.

This I agree with and there are 2 sides to every story.

I really don't care if he got his kicks burning Guatamalan school children if he did his time let it go.

Who hasn't tossed the occasional kitten into a wood chipper?

That's true, but the initial raid was a drug raid. I think they got him on what they could.

So if he was around murderers at 8 years old it's ok for him to kill? You got kids? What if he sets them on fire? He hasn't paid his dues, he's a punk who's karma will eat him alive.

The police were not trying to nab him for just anything, they thought it was drugs and it turned out to be dog fighting, which in their eyes wasnt all that bad until they found out about the gambling.

Fact, the raid was a drug raid.

Fact, no drugs were found.

Fact, the dogs were discovered as a result of the drug raid.

Fact, he was convicted of charges related to the dogs that were found, which were not the focus of the initial raid.

They should have let them share a cell. That might have been interesting! There is some reality TV I would watch!

I personally don't understand how anyone can hurt animals or small children. That does not change that it happens. One animal is no better than another. They raise chickens and turkeys in huge houses just to slaughter them. Dogs really do not deserve any special treatment.

Lets not forgot how he stared into the eyes of his coach and the league and LIED and flat out denied the charges initially..only when he was caught did he admit he made a "mistake"

He's not sorry, he's broke, and he wants to get back to that superstar lifestyle, and the only way he can do that is with the NFL and acting like he's a changed man and an angel.

Wait until he screws up and they boo him in Philly and he gives the fans the finger and spits at them.

He was still part of a huge illegal operation.

Defend him all you want, I am really not surprised, P.

Fact...He is a CONVICTED FELON, and the NFL with there conduct policy should not let him back into the league.

Sure he should be free to earn a living, but the NFL is not where he should be doing it.

Hell they don't even let felons into Canada, but you can make millions in the NFL these days.

P.....You can defend Vick all you want, but how in the world can you defend what he did, and how he financed it, allowing a whole group of people to also harm dogs, and then he flat lied to everyone about it?

I disagree. Domesticated animals deserve special treatment because we have domesticated them. Their survival is dependent on their owner.

Hunting wild animals is one thing. Raising animals for food is one thing. Shooting dogs that were raised by you is another.

There is a responsibility factor with domesticated animals that does not exist with wild animals or those raised for food.

I don't care one way or the other about Vick getting a second change. That is business and I don't care.

However, anyone who feels OK to electrocute, shoot or torture a domesticated animal is worthless, IMO.

your splitting hairs. trying to differintiate between animals and species is too much. They were dogs and he owned them. They were his property he could do what he wants.

Not a chance in hell I've ever done anything to a dog, not sure where you came up with that BS. You would rather make up some shit about me than see the truth. Last i checked drowning, setting fire and hanging animals has never been close to or documented as a sport. I don't buy the I came from a tough upbringing story, it's a cop out and an excuse used by clueless people. People make choices and should be held accountable for their actions. Like it or not someone who is capable of doing these kinds of things to animals is capable of doing it to kids or anyone. Keep defending him.

I didn't make it up. It's entirely possible he did though.

I think two years in prison and the millions spent and forfeited constitute being held accoutable

I don't make shit up and have had your back around here for quite some time now. you might want to check your attitude and remember who your friends are here. There ain't many.
