Ouch. I know a few of the guys in that video. I've rode dirt bikes with Hobbs several times. He'd never give me the time of day but there is some good people in that group.

Far greater environmental crimes being committed than a grass track in the park that should be handled.

I agree no doubt, but from the sounds of it, he tried making this an “event” of some kind. It’s one thing to show up somewhere with some buddies and poach a field, but low key should be the name of the game.

What an awesome place to ride though. I bet it was epic while it was happening.

i used to live out in teton county for a few years. the rules for national parks are pretty simple. No motor vehicle traffic ever (unless its a heli for emergency rescue) Snowmobiling is popular in that area and there are hundreds of thousands of acres of snowmobile zones in that region of the state. you can also ride there with bikes when the snow melts

Most, if not all national parks in the united states prohibit gasoline powered engines within the boundaries.

The guys an idiot…but, as usual, the greenies are blowing the environmental impacts way out of proportion.

While a handful of pitbikes won't do a ton of damage there's definitely a slippery slope argument. There was a thread about side by sides ruining all the good riding areas, things can go sideways quick if you give people a little rope.

Also, if you have land of your own that you ride on, seeing a bunch of people show up uninvited can get your blood boiling even if you love motorcycles. It's about respect.

Ignorance isn't much of an argument anymore for riding on virgin terrain in a national park. It takes 2 seconds to look up park boundaries and your location on a smart phone. It really begs the question why this guy picked this location to trailer pitbikes to?

Would have been overlooked if the had put some drag queens on the bikes and parents had filmed their kids watching.

Probably just a slap on the wrist.
