If I buy a used I-Phone, can I get a monthly contract from At&T? And, how much should one pay for a used I-Phone?

if it's unlocked, can't you use it on any network?

Yes and No.

Yes with T-mobile but no 3G, different MHZ....

VZ, US Cell, Sprint and other no.

If you have a local GSM company it may work as well.

Check the ATT site, they sell refurbished phones that carry a warranty and at a much cheaper price.

I sold my iPhone 3G on Craigslist in November for $350 one week after I bought the iPhone 3GS for $199 at AT&T. Not sure what prices they are going for now, but back then T-Mobile customers were clambering to get their hands on them so they could Unlock and Jail Break them.

To answer the question, as long as it is not unlocked or jail broken, AT&T will set you up with a contract. Peeps always gripe about AT&T's service. I don't know what they are talking about. Works fine for me.

I like ATT over VZW.. and I use it all over the country. The only problems I've ran into is that ATT is not in the Subway In DC or NY.

I get "full bars" at my desert place, VWZ didn't work at all there.

I sold my first generation iphone for $300 when the 3gs came out. Couldn't believe it. Even had a crack in the screen. I sold on Ebay. You can unlock it but certain features may not work on other networks such as visual voicemail.

About the only thing I don't like about my IPhone is not being able to tether it with my laptop. I know you can if you jail break it, but I'd rather not.. Hopefully AT&T allows it soon. I'd even pay a few bucks extra for that bene

Good to know so many people in here support sweat shops seeing as Foxconn is Apple's number 1 supplier.

If it weren't for sweat shops, we wouldn't be able to afford shit is this country. Viva la sweat shops!
