If not for Men At Work, Crocodile Dundee and Chad Reed, would anybody even know where, or what, Australia was?

I think I read somewhere that those first two accounted for something like 92% of Australia's GDP in the 80's.

Something to ponder...

I hear the hunting is spectacular. Is it true the house cat population is so crazy that people hunt feral house cats? Well I guess there is no such thing as a feral house cat but you know what I mean.

Burt is pretty cool, and the Burt Munro Challange they have in his home town is one of the most fun weeks of the year,

I'm going to go see a friend in Perth someday. I understand it's a lot like San Diego.

Looking for it was part of the plan lol. Thought I'd backpack(light) down and around the east coast and end up in Adelaide, cage diving with Great Whites. I'd like to just camp out whenever/wherever possible but those big, burly black spiders are making me rethink that one. F#*K those things... Laughing

Another quick question: If I was to sleep on the beach south of Brisbane, is there anything that would be likely to swim up on shore and eat me, or crawl out of a hole/the bushes and bite/sting me, causing any sort of necrosis that could possibly lead to amputation? Unsure

Mel Gibson was born the US, and Russell Crowe in NZ,

I'd like live in Australia and New Zealand for a couple of years each. Lots of outdoors stuff to check out. During summers a couple of Aussies would come up to train and race (road cycling) with us in Atlanta. Crazy dudes, good times.

Yeah I'm in WA, I love it, great climate, wide open spaces with some big cities dotted over the place. Great fishing/hunting, and some decent tracks too
