My buddy who is an ex-pro and knows a lot of industry types still, says Chad Reed consults an astrologist before every race. And he said Chad Reed used some "magic rocks" (his words not mine) to attatch to his bike for luck. Anybody else hear this stuff? I know its bizarre
And you're from Murrietta California too.......hmmmmm.
edit: Yes he (CLOS 157) did "Just ask him about the outback rocks he throws around in a box to get visions of how to proceed!!!"
Weird thing that Brooks used to run #157 back in 85-86 I think. I don't believe that guy was Larry but was there a guy named Carlos (hence CLOS) who had anything to do with L&M? Or is he just an LB superfan/unbalanced stalker?

If it's true so what, I bet there is plenty of superstious stuf that all of them do. No different than Stewart and his cinnamon twists. Power to them if it works or it makes them ride better.
That's all I know.
I hear that before a race they hold their hands together in this weird way and talk to a spirit that no one can see.
Then afterwards if they do good they will call out to the heavens giving thanks to this same spirit.
Some of them actually make signs across their bodies, wear "magic medallions" or point towards the sky as part of this odd ritual.
I know it's bizarre.
Pit Row
Kid has been up front for 9 years.....so wha da fuck can anyone really say?
not the weirdest rumor ive ever heard come from reeds camp but to be honest, the superstitious stuff isnt that uncommon in sports. anything to keep ones confidence up, no matter how silly, is fair game.
u do know that he is part aboriginal right? thats where his superstitions come from.
