ok, we are about to move and we are going to have just enough land for a small track. supercross style. we have a dumptruck and a bob cat and a bull dozer and are going to be able to get dirt. what i was wanting from other riders is what i should put on the track that would help me the most?

Tripples and doubles, Whoops and mogul whoops, step ups, step downs, table tops, and a sand section go to www.supercrossonline.com, click on tracks and get some ideas from their tracks...You could also try dirtwurxusa.com and see what they have to offer...

Mark Barnett had a practice track in the sticks with a 100 yards of the nastiest woops I had ever seen back then.

What level rider are you? A supercross track is pretty worthless for a C rider or Vet rider. Most riders are slow in the turns, so a bunch of variety of turns linked together with some interesting jumps would be good. But a full blown SX track would probably not be the wisest investment in time and resources.

I have an arenacross style track that was built with a bobcat a small excavator and 30 loads of dirt. Its on about an acre of land and we have tweaked the layout to get it to flow. Dont try and over do it, if you have to cut down on the lanes to make longer sections then so-be-it. Small sections with one maybe two jumps and a lot of corners arent that fun to ride. try and keep it open with multiple jump sections.

Step on step offs into big jumps doubles or triples are fun. If you build whoops build them big, they get wore down fast. table tops are a waste of dirt, if your not hurting for dirt thats ok but I had to dig down to get some extra dirt, so I don't have any table tops. When building you want a lot of moisture in the dirt , pretty much make it mud if you can. this helps it compact and stay packed. smaller tracks are more fun on 250F's, so keep in mind what bike ur riding when building the track.

Put in the stuff you hate the most...then you will learn to love it.

riding a 250f in the b class. but i have a little brother that just moved up to 80s and the track has to be good for him to. i suck at whoops so i am planning on haveing a couple sections of them.

Like drew said build the whoops big. Whoops wear out very fast, and you have to tear them down completely to rebuild them. Make sure you constantly change your lines to keep the track going for awhile. Dont just hit the jumps in the exact same spot everytime.
