Does anyone know if the last years of japanese steel frames were chromoly or just regular steel? Like an 08 Rm250 2 stroke? or the KX 250

Japanese Steel, I have been told by experts that they use a different rating system for their steel & aluminum.

I believe the steel is called AISI-SAE-4130 Steel. It is very suitable for massproduction because it mostly doesn't require any heat treating after welding. And you can weld it with TIG and MIG using appropriate welding 'wire' (not sure what the right word is).
