maybe now that James will be doin the R&D for yamaha they might stopping pushing in corners for the first time since... ever. Gonna be awkward watchin him on a blue bike. Cant wait to see how RV holds up and even more stoked to see if Chad brings anything to the table. that Nac-Nac attempt was pretty funny though. Besides RV are there any other big hitters on kawi 450's?

I doubt his input will effect the production bike much, if at all. There are dedicated test riders to design the production bikes because the truth is that James' set up would not work for 99% of amateur and recreational riders. Just because he can go fast on it, doesn't mean me and you could

im not sayin it would be a cheaper replica of his personal setup, just that he would have an infuence on it. I believe he had a big role in how kawi's handle today. plus now that he's ridin one, their sales will probably go up quite a bit, so hopefully more $$ to put towards r&d. my first couple bikes were yamahas and i love the bikes except for a few things that i cant stand.... guess im just bein hopeful haha

Sales don't go up on bikes because some star rides them. They go up when some local guy buys one. If star racers sell bikes, then wouldn't you own a Suzuki...cuz that's what RC rode?

Honda has not won a title in 5 years and probably will not win one for another 5 years but sells more 250f's and 450f's than any other mcf. Why do you think they don't bother paying RC/JS type salaries? It no longer matters to bike sales what brand wins a title.

Honda has a solid brand reputation that extends beyond the motorcycle industry.
